~Hunter exam~

"Netero, what's a hunters license for?" A small voice says from there childrens book, the small child rolling over the pages with ease as the old man laughs

"What a funny thing to say! I'm in charge of the whole thing shouldn't you know what it is?" The old man says sipping his tea as the child throws the book to the wall

"Is it hard? Those exam people always say it is but everyone I know did it with ease." The little girl says confused as stacks of books fall from the table, Netero humming at the child before his smile appears

"Well your gramps made it! Why not try out and see kid?"

The child's eyes finally light up at his sentence as Netero grabs them by their shirt, placing her next to him as he offers tea

"When your older of course! Can't have my only grandkid go into the test blind!"

He laughs loudly at his words, making the child's excitement cool down as confusion is places instead

Not understanding what he means by blind as she just pushes more things to the ground, a blank look on the child's face as they return to their books

That was when your first lesson began

You sit on the pavement floor, hand on your chin as your grandfather talks with an instructor, looking over the place with ambition as the underground tunnel seems to go on for infinity.

"This really was a good place! They all should be arriving shortly now"

Netero ruffles up your long black hair, smiling at you one last time before he starts to walk away, the butler in charge of the first phase contestants looking around pleased

"Why down in the tunnels? Wouldn't it be better if we start off on the jungle up top?" You question, blowing a strand out of your face before tilting your head

"It wouldn't be much of a challenge if it was easy to find now would it?" He says with closed eyes, making you hum at him satisfied.

"I suppose not beans.."

"Well then! I'll be off, make sure she's on her best behavior now beans" netero says with a smile as he waves a childish goodbye

Mr beans sitting down next to you as he gives you a warm smile, pulling out some games from thin air as he chuckles

"What would you like to do to kill the time miss y/n? A little game of cards? Or some chess I've brought both!" The man says excited as you shrug looking around the place with sharp eyes

"Honestly I though it would be different from this... I really wanted a challenge" you say with slight disappointment as beans looks at you astonished

"Is this disappointing you miss! I could have this location changed within minutes! Just say the words!" He says worried, getting his phone out fearfully before you shake your head

"It's fine beans, how about we play chess until a applicant comes" you say, putting your arm on your leg as you slouch down, waiting for the bean to set up his games

You both sat down for hours as you played multiple rounds, both tide with wins as you move your knight on his king, your hand on your face unfazed at the win

"I win." You say grabbing his king as beans claps with another smile, looking at you proudly as you slowly pour the pieces on the board

"Great job miss! You've won me again, this time it won't be so ea-"
