"I shall take that as a compliment thank you. Still, should you choose to attack again on any reason I will have no choice to report you for attacking an examiner and have you immediately disqualified."

"Of course" hisoka says with his signature smile, the sound of birds being heard as you all watch the body being eaten

"How brutal" "it's hard to watch..."

"So he was a man faced ape as well" kurapika says as you nod, looking back at satotz as he continues

"He was trying to confuse the applicants and lure some of you away. These attempts are to be expected." He says before walking over to the body to examine it, you look at the group before nodding

"Don't let your guards down, one wrong move and you'll be dead" you say as Leorio and Kurapika nod, killua saying the same thing to Gon as the young children look on

"Please be aware that you will encounter such deception on a regular basis. I just assume that a number of you where fooled" the man says as awkward laughter can be heard

You give Leorio a look as the man rubs his head "oh well.. I uh"

"I want to make it abundantly clear that if any of you are to lose sight of me once we enter the fog of the Milsy wetlands, you have no hope whatsoever of reaching the second phase of the exam."

"More so you'll be dead or lost" you say as Leorio looks worried, you look at Gon and killua for a second before sighing

"You two stay close with me, I don't want you to get killed by a frog" you say sarcastically as killua growls at you, Gon nodding as you start to run

Everyone stays quiet, most trying to stay inside the group as satotz keeps his same pace

You run next to killua and Gon as the two stay near the middle, you keep your eyes to the sides of the swamp as you hear noises coming from both ends

Eyes dart to your back as you sweat, feeling the piercing eyes of hisoka behind you as you move closer to Gon

"Oh great it's another marathon!" Leorio says annoyed as you feel uneasy, running as quick as you can with the rest as satotz voice gets farther

The fog becomes thicker and thicker as you run, Gon and still by your side as you watch people start to disappear from you vision

Killua looks behind you two before groaning looking uneasy as hisokas eyes dart in front

"Gon y/n, let's try to move up to the front" he says as you nod, looking at satotz run as Gon speaks

"Right, the last thing we want to do is lose sight of the examiner right now!" Gon says as killua shakes his head

"I just want to put a little distance between hisoka and us, I can basically feel his vision on you" He looks at you as you scoff

"He's basically oozing for a fight, staying to close is dangerous. I can smell the lust from here" you say holding your nose a little as Gon raises an eyebrow

Sniffing the air a little behind him as he hums "smell what? I don't think he smells."

You smile at his childishness, killua not looking impressed as your eyes dart for kurapika and Leorio

"Hey Leorio! Kurapika! Killua says we should all move up to the front of the pack!" You out your hands on his mouth quickly as you watch people eyes

"Calm down! Don't you feel the tension in the air?" Killua asks as you nod agreeing, looking around for the two as you see nothing

"Plus I think they already best us, I can't even see them."

"You idiot! If I could reach the front I'd already be there!" Leorios voice calls out as you hear them from your side, far away from he pack as you groan

"There lost." You say quietly as killua looks up at you, before running up ahead

"Cmon let's go!" They both run up ahead as you try and run with them, before a sharp needle comes flying your way

You stop completely as you look at where it came from, hearing Gon and killua run away as your eyes widen

No one near you as you realize your mistake, continuing to run forward as you scream killua and gons names, only hearing the fog and yells of men

You run quickly as you jump over a log, your feet falling onto a grassy field, hypnosis butterflies surrounding the place

"This is bad, if I don't find them then there in serious danger.." you whisper as you look around the field, the thick fog covering most. But you could almost make out a person

"You should be worrying about yourself~" The voice calls out as your eyes widen, seeing hisoka standing there with his signature smile

Dead bodies of men surrounding him as you stare him down, the man starting to walk closer to you as you glare at him

"Those two were going the wrong way, You need to find satotz before anything else."

You don't back down as he comes face to face with you.. the man slouching down to reach your level

"Though I must tell, you seem to be very buddy buddy with the examiners this year~ if the rumors are true then you must be-"

"Who I am is none of your concern hisoka" you say glaring as the man only laughs, his eyes drifting towards your side

You follow his eyes as you see kurapika and Leorio standing in the forest, both of them looking concerned

A hand grabs your chin, lifting it up with easy as you raise an eyebrow, hisoka chuckling a little as he leans in

"How about you two? Care to play examiner?"

Kurapikas eyes widen as he grits his teeth, holding his wooden nunchucks close as Leorio takes out his pocket knife

You look at him before you back away, rolling your eyes at his game as the uneasiness has rubbed off

"You must be insane." You say simply as hisoka smirks, walking away as he slowly approaches kurapika and Leorio

They look at hisoka worried as kurapikas eyes land on you, the boy planning something as you look at him confused

"Are they-"

A bird caws in the sky as kurapika quickly runs up to you, grabbing your arm as you look on surprised

"Now run!"

Before you can answer kurapika pulls you away, running the opposite side of Leorio as they both escape hisokas clutches

Your basically being pulled as kurapika runs, the boy not looking back as you scoff

"Let go." You say darkly as kurapika stops, you pull your arm away as you fix your messed up hair, looking at the blond like he's crazy as he rubs his neck

"I apologize for that, I needed to get you away from hisoka" he says as you raise an eyebrow

"Why? He doesn't seem so threa-" you stop your words as you grab your nose, looking at where you just ran from as your eyes widen
