As the smoke clears people cough, looking straight up at the old man as he slowly walks over to menchi, the examiner immediately standing up straight as she looks nervous

"the head of the exam committee Issac netero. He's responsible for the hunter exams. Chairman netero" Menchi's words echoing through the crowd as people look around unsure

Your face almost dropping as you groan, stiffing your shoulders as you heavily stare at the interaction. Your fists shaking slightly as a pair of eyes glue to you

"Oh please, I just work behind the scenes that's all, I only intervene when issues like these pop up" the man says waving off the tension like nothing

Kurapika seemed to notice your reaction to the man as he gives you a side eye, looking at how you stare at the old man, his suspicion of you returning

"Now dear menchi... it's come to my attention that you've chosen to fail this year applicants."

His eyes soon fall, aiming at her chest as he smiles, looking back up as he continues

"The reason being, as I understand it, their general reluctance to challenge the unknown."

Menchi slowly shakes her head as he sighs "no.. I'm sorry sir but I snapped when a candidate insulted gourmet hunters. And I'm afraid I made the exam harder then necessary."

Netero looks at her before nods understanding "I see, but it seems your aware that this exam was completed unacceptable."

"He's, it's just that I get so emotional when food is involved. I'm nots suited for this position.. So I must resign as examiner. Please let them retake the second phase!"

Your eyes widen at this as you hum, looking at them both more relaxed as Netero shakes his head

"Sadly, I can't imagine where we'd begin to find an examiner on such short notice."

Menchi bows down apologizing as Neteros looks slightly away, his focus now going over to your station as he sees you, the old man sticking with his plan before pulling his finger up

"Hold on, I have an idea!"

Menchi lifts her head as he looks at her, the women looking at him surprised as he continues

"You continue serving as examiner, but you yourself must participate alongside this year's applicants in completing whatever challenge you chose."

Menchi gasps a little at this as he smiles at her, asking her if it's reasonable as everyone looks at them nervously, more being surprised by the drop in as you relax once more

" I suppose your right. And I have just the thing for the new challenge" she says smirking before looking at all the applicants

"We'll all be making boiled eggs!"

The crowd immediately gets confused as some chatter with others, your hair going out of place a little as you stare at them
