"It's been two hours since the hunter exam began, and the applicants have travelled more than 30 kilometers from the starting line, no one knows how far they'll have to go, nevertheless they struggle to match the leaders pace... and applicants have already started to drop out."

You run next to kurapika, the boy not shaking from your side as you look around you, more applicants have drops since the last hour because of the physical and mental strain of the test

Satotz has picked up his pace and you know he'll keep it there for at least 5 more hours, the pace you've grown used to after netero gave you the option of meeting the man, for at least all your childhood you've tried to catch him in tag, the man going hours on end to the walking pace

One of the rookies passes by you holding a computer, running up next to satotz as he types something out, the little man smiling at the result before running happily next to him

"He's almost mentally reliant on that computer, to bad this isn't ending soon" you mumble as Gon and kurapika look at you again, the blonde giving you a look as you know he's trying to figure you out

You look to your side before speeding up easily, the both gasping at this as you run up to the middle, both boys arriving shortly afterwards next to you as you sigh

This is your fifth attempt to shake them off but seems like you aren't going to soon...

"Hey you brat! Stop speeding up so we can loose you!" Leorio says arriving next to you also as you see the sweat drip down his face

"What are you talking about I wasn't doing anything" you say looking up at the ceiling as Leorio growls, yelling your ear off on your lie as you smirk

You all keep running as Leorio falls behind a bit, gasping for air tightly as you and Gon run near him, suddenly hearing him yell about something

"I mean quit using a damp skateboard, that's cheating!" He yells as you look, seeing him yell at a white haired child as the kid just looks confused

"How that?" He asks as Leorio growls getting even more pissed

"This is an endurance test! That's how."

"No it's not" gone speaks up, surprising Leorio and the kid as you continue

"All he said was follow him, it might seem like the like a endurance test but it could just be us listening" you say looking ahead simply as Leorio looks at you stunned

"What are you two babbling about now!"

"The examiner guy said we only need to follow him that's all" Gon says as Leorio yells more, you roll your eyes at it before seeing the kid skate close to you and Gon

"Hey.... How old are you?"

"Twelve year old." Gon says simply as your eyes widen, looking at him confused

'I could've sworn he was 10 or something...'

The white haired kid looks at you too "how about you?"

"Just turned 15" you say raising an eyebrow as the kid looks between you too contemplating something before pushing his skateboard in the air, catching it in his hands as Gon looks amazed

"I think I'll run for a little while." He says simply as Gon gasp happily, you look surprised before sighing, another kid you just can't seem to shake off

"My names killua" he says looking at you and Gon as Gon smiles, your eyes widen at the name a little

"I'm Gon! This is y/n"

"Nice to meet you?" You say looking at the kid as you feel like you know his name... just something about it seems like you've heard before.

The two talk about something as you just reply in short sentences, Leorio behind you guys sweating more as he scoffs

'Damn kids! You're not going to make a fool out of me.!'

"That's so cool killua! Y/n do you know how to skate?" Gon asks getting you apart of the conversation as you nod

"Only on a governing one, never learned the whole wheel type" you say as killua eyes light up

"A hovering one! That's so cool you both can show me!" Gon says happily as you shrugg, not knowing what to tell him

"Is it like the same as a skateboard? Or more advanced?" Killua asks as you try to find the words to explain it before sighing

"I can show you guys" you say begrudgingly before whistling, the boys looking confused before they see your skull ring glow for a second

Mr bean at the start of the exam cleaning up, the man humming as he cleans before hearing a ticking noise, he looks up curious before gasping, his board games being flung to the side as a hover skate zooms right past his face

"Oh how I despise that thing! Ms y/n really should be more careful!" He yells before getting back to his work

A few yells are heard behind the three before you jump up, the board zooming past Leorio as it lands perfectly at your feet, the rockets at the bottom slowing down as you ride it

There faces brightens up as Gon gasp more amazed "wow! I've never seen something like that!"

"It's like rocket boots" killua says as he smiles watching you bring it down, you nod at the boys before flinging it over your arms

"It was a gift from a friend, he got it for my 6th birthday" you say rubbing your head as Gon looks at the design

"That's so cool I wanna try when we reach the end!"

"Go for it, just don't crash"
