It had been a rough week for you and ENA. There was some sort of unresolved tension between the two of you. You stood there awkwardly in the living room, swaying side to side and glancing at ENA every so often.
You had just come back from skateboarding with ENA's best friend, Moony. Moony had been in her humanoid form for quite some time now. Still trying to get used to it, skateboarding was a little trickier.
ENA has been silent for the past few days and it worried you. She has always been very talkative and constantly has something on her mind.
ENA was looking for something in the drawers. She turned around and made eye contact with you. Your stomach turned, causing you to look away.
"Hey ENA is anything bothering you?" you kicked your feet against the ground, panicking.
"Yes, but I would like to talk about it another time if that is ok with yoU-" ENA began glitching and spazzing out.
"ENA?" You slowly approached while reaching out an arm.
"Can I touch you?" She started to lean towards you only to trip. You caught her by her side and pulled her to the couch. She buried her head in your chest and whimpered. You ran your fingers through her hair softly. You propped her up onto your lap. Her legs wrapped around both sides of your hips.
You rocked her back and forth and pulled up her shirt behind her and rubbed her back. She uncontrollably sobbed into your shoulder.
A few minutes later she settled down and the loud crying turned into small sniffs. You set her down on the couch and grabbed a tissue from the kitchen counter. She blew her nose and set it on the coffee table. You pulled her back onto your lap.
"Are you ok?" You asked calmly. You ran your hands up and down her back. ENA sniffed and sat up a bit.
"I don't know," she hiccuped a bit.
"Do you want to tell me what's wrong?" You sighed a bit, nuzzling your face into her neck.
"You haven't been around as much. I tried talking to you last night but you didn't even listen. We were supposed to have a date night yesterday but you went skateboarding with Moony, " She let out another sob and wiped her tears with her sleeve.
"I'm sorry. I never meant to ignore you," you cupped her cheeks and pressed a kiss to her forehead.
"I'm being selfish now, " she sulked.
"No no no-no. You aren't being selfish at all. It's good to talk about these things, " you pressed your forehead against hers. The two of you sat in silence. Your hands intertwined with hers. She had settled down after a little bit.
"Are you feeling better now?" you peppered her cheeks with kisses. She giggled slightly and pushed you back against the couch and wrapped her arms around you tighter.
"Yeah, I am, " her masculine voice came back. she pulled you down with her. You laid on top of her.
"Wanna head to bed?" you slowly sat up. You reached out your hand to pull her up.
The tension between the two of you disappeared shortly after you talked. ENA felt a lot happier now.
The two of you were laying in bed. ENA had her arms wrapped around you from behind as you reached over to turn the lamp off.
