Seven | Nine Teas

Chapter Seven

"C'mon," Sunoo tugged at Sunghoon's arm, wrapping his arms around the latters as he pulled on it, "Please~"

Now, Sunoo's brilliant idea had just gone into motion as well as he'd thought but it was still just as frustrating even if he knew it would happen. He thought he might as well get Sunghoon to come with him to Nine Teas and he knew that there would be at least one thing he would like-

"Ugh, Banana milk?" His plan was already falling apart.

"Your mum sent it and my dad was meant to bring it to you since you were sick," Sunoo took off the note and placed it on the table before holding it out to Sunghoon, "Now drink up,"

"Do I have to?" Sunghoon whined, "Can you just throw it on your way out?" He grumbled as he shifted his position.

"Hey if you drink it, I'll get you a milkshake or a boba," Sunghoon's eyes lit up which made Sunoo smile once again.

"Really?"

"When we go to Nine Teas," He watched as Sunghoon's expression slowly bubbled down into a mellow sigh. Sunoo groaned and rolled his eyes, "Never thought I'd see a whiney Sunghoon," The raspy chortle made the older male blush – fixing his posture and clearing his throat.

"Can you just leave?" He protested, cuddling Autumn in his arms as he slowly petted her fur, "And take the banana milk with you," Sunoo huffed and crossed his arms like a little child which made Sunghoon burst out in laughter.

Sunoo knew he would have to leave out of courtesy, he couldn't just invade his neighbour's house uninvited, "Bye then but I'm leaving the banana milk," Pleasantly to his surprise, little Ddeonu hoped out of his owner's warm slender arms just to follow him outside, "Aww, little Ddeonu wants to go outside but grumpy little Hoonie doesn't want to take you,"

"Fine," Sunghoon got up and picked up Autumn, "First, don't call me that. Second, I'm really thirsty so can we go?" Sunoo let out a cute giggle and nodded.

"Mission accomplished," Sunoo smiled as Sunghoon locked the door behind him.

"What did you say," Sunghoon looked over at Sunoo who wore a faint grin on his lips.

"Make sure not to lose Ddeonu again,"

Sunoo opened the tinted glass window with an effortless push. The hot and sugary scent flooded the room and his senses; he smiled at the tasty treats. Sunghoon's eyes scanned the premise, poking his nail into his skin at all the unfamiliar faces. He followed Sunoo to the cash register, his bunny still hopping beside him.

"Are you sure this café lets us have bunnies?" Sunghoon muttered to Sunoo as they waited in the fairly short line.

"Don't worry so much," Sunoo brushed him off with a flimsy smile.

"You didn't answer my question..." The raspy mutter was unheard by the latter as he was too busy ordering for the two, "Never mind..."

Sunoo drummed his fingers on the cold countertop as he looked through his options, "What do you want Sunghoon?" He glanced over at the awestruck boy behind him, his deep long black fringe swaying softly as little sparks lit up his deep brown eyes. The unexpected, cute image made Sunoo confused but smile nonetheless he waited for his answer.

"Oh... can I really order anything?" Sunghoon titled his head, watching his fringe slowly slip off his forehead.

"Well yeah," The quiet huff that left the younger lips made Sunghoon snap out of a haze, "Nine Teas isn't that expensive."

"I guess uh... Winter melon," Sunoo turned around to face the barista once again and place their final orders. Sunghoon didn't know what to think – was that drink really okay? He knelt to pick up Autumn, the comforting sensation of his bunny's fur and cradling her in his arm calmed him down.

"Thank you," Sliding the two hot drinks off the counter, Sunoo returned a plasticky smile to the ever so short barista, his crisp blue hair colour ruffled and swept away to the side of his face, "It's fine. You can keep the change." He spared a glance at the coins then back at the delighted boy.

Sunoo nudged Sunghoon's arm which signalled him that they had received their order, "Let's go sit next to the window!" He piped which made Sunghoon begin searching for this window Sunoo was talking about.

He pulled out a chair with a quiet screech before taking a seat. Sunghoon looked around awkwardly before taking a seat beside Sunoo. He swirled his straw around in the bubble tea, the strong scent of milk coating his senses. The woody undertones along with the vanilla fig made his stomach growl on cue still, he heisted.

Parting his lips from the paper straw, "Are you not going to drink it?" Sunoo asked with a raised brow which just made Sunghoon shrug his shoulders. He picked up the cup and pressed the straw against his lips and took a small sip before placing it back onto the table, "Oh look, they're here!"

The door swung open from the nth time today but this time it revealed a young boy with blonde hair with washed-out purple tips that just barely reached his eyes, his fingers interlocked with the brunet locks that was neatly tucked behind his ears. They waved at the table Sunoo and Sunghoon were at and began walking over to it.

Sunghoon scooted Autumn's chair closer to his own as Jay and Jungwon took a seat, "Hi Sunoo," They greeted as they placed their hot drinks on the table, "You're Sunghoon – right?"

"Yeah, that's me..." Sunghoon mumbled before taking another short sip of his boba. Sunoo gave a reassuring smile to the older male which loosened the tense feeling on Sunghoon's shoulder.

"I'm Jay and that's my boyfriend Jungwon," The blonde introduced the two to Sunghoon, the latter nodding as he spoke. Jay gave Sunoo a faint grin, "And you are Sunoo's?"

"Neighbour- "

"Best friend," Sunoo quickly covered up and gave Sunghoon a playful push. Jungwon let out a small chortle at the cute scene before slurping the last bits of his boba.

"And who's that?" Jungwon petted the grey bunny with large doe eyes, running his fingers through her fur. Sunghoon glanced over at Autumn with a meek smile and cleared his throat before he spoke.

"Oh, that's Autumn," Sunghoon stated, "or as Sunoo likes to say 'Ddeonu'," Sunoo let out a cute chortle before taking another sip of his bubble tea.

"Aww, that's such a cute name," Jungwon cooed which made Sunoo stick his tongue out at Sunghoon who just rolled his eyes.

Sunoo glanced over at Sunghoon then at his bubble tea which seemed as if he hadn't drunk a sip, "Aren't you gonna drink your boba?" Sunghoon shifted his gaze down to his full cup of milk tea in front of him and dug his nails into his sweaty palm before giving the younger a nod.

He picked up his cup and took a long sip of his boba tea, squinting his eyes at the sudden rush of taste – staining all his senses. Sunghoon placed down his half-empty drink as he looked down at his slender fingers.

Their conversations began becoming a blur in Sunghoon's head as he tried to focus on his fingers yet the hazy fog cloudy his head along with the feeling of bile climbing up his throat, "I-I need to go," He quickly mumbled before getting out of his seat.

"Where are you going- "Sunoo stopped Sunghoon from taking his leave but the older male yanked back his arms and ran into the bathroom.

The three of them sat in confusion, unaware of why Sunghoon had just bailed on them. Sunoo really thought Sunghoon had finally gotten to know him.

"I'll be right back!"
