Chapter Five

Double update:]

♡♡♡

Sunoo laid on his bed, his eyes droopy and tried yet he couldn't seem to nap – or at the least zone out. His duffle coat laid beside him, an abundance of thread decorating the otherwise plain white bed a plethora of blues. He sighed and sat upright, deciding to carry on stitching up his coat.

"I don't see why I'm stitching the coat, I didn't rip it," He muttered, plunging in the needle once again, "I hate you, Jay!" Sunoo felt the burning sensation of the needle pricking into the pad of his index finger. He dropped the needle onto the bed and sucked on his finger which was still clean.

"Maybe I should just shut up and sew instead of whine – then maybe I wouldn't have pricked my finger," The black-haired male scolded himself for his petty whining still sulking as he slowly stitched. He only managed to get the top part of the tear sewn before getting distracted by the sudden vibration on his phone.

Contemplating, "Nope, I'm just gonna- "Sunoo's phone vibrated once again, "It must be important..." He muttered and picked up his phone, a message displayed on the screen.

"Oh..." He let out the breath he didn't know he was holding only to slum back in his seat, "It's just a notification to feed Sunny even though I just did, gosh." The thought of his virtual pet reminded him of the new pet-sitting job he had got. 'Man – Sunghoon should've given me his number, not the other way around!' He thought to himself.

Sunoo huffed and didn't even want to spare a glance at the needle so he decided to take it upon himself to see if Sunghoon needed any help, "I'm pretty sure he's just afraid to call me," He muttered.

He ran down the stairs, both his hands clinging onto the railings. Sunoo didn't bother alerting his dad that he was going to go out – he'd practically finished sewing the tear so his father was bound to let him go outside.

The only thing Sunoo did before leaving his house was put on his shoes, slamming the door behind him with a loud thud.

"Sunoo- Maybe he's just gone out to get more thread," His father peered through the door but was just a second too late as the door was already slammed shut.

The chilled air never seemed to warm up much to Sunoo's dismay but even, so he stayed focus on his pet-sitting duties. He looked over at the parallel street and squinted to see if Sunghoon or Ddeonu was on their front porch. He crossed the road and quickly made his way to Sunghoon's house, hesitating if he should knock.

"Sunoo?" A puzzled expression was now avid on Sunghoon's face, tilting his head, "What are you doing here – I didn't call you," A warm chuckle left Sunoo's lips at his questions.

"I'm here to pet-sit Ddeonu!" Sunoo exclaimed with a bright smile, "Where are you going? I didn't knock yet, and you opened the door,"

"I was just going to get some food..." Sunghoon trailed off, "And why do you care?" His voice suddenly grew sharper and firm which only made Sunoo chuckle.

"Because that means I can pet sit Ddeonu for you," Sunoo answered confidently which just made Sunghoon scoff, "I gave you my number so why didn't you call?" He pouted and let out an inaudible humph. Sunghoon just sighed and ruffled his long fringe out of his face; Sunoo began noticing his habit of playing with his hair.

Muttering under his breath, "I don't take that long to shop," Sunghoon rolled his eyes and attempted to get past Sunoo.

"Not until you let me pet-sit Ddeonu- "
