FINN'S EYES WIDENED IN SHOCK.
He tried to open his mouth. He tried to say something, but his voice was stuck in his throat.

He slowly turned around, and no- she didn't disappear. However, he knew that she wasn't real. She was only a memory. He was definitely hallucinating.

Finally, he found the courage to speak, tears filling his eyes.
"M-Mal ? Are you real ?"

His voice came out raspy and soft. It was the first time he had spoken in three months, yet it felt like years.

She shook her head sadly.
"No. But I'm solid enough."
She stretched out her arms, waiting for him to hug her. His eyes widened and his mouth gaped open in shock.

Then, he ran towards her and hugged her as tightly as he could go.
"I won't be that solid for long though." She spoke again sadly.

He started sobbing, his heart aching as he sunk his head into her neck.

"I-I'm so sorry! I'm so fucking sorry."
She rubbed his back in reassurance.
"It's my fault, isn't it ? Gosh, I'm so sorry ! Please don't hate me.."

"It's not your fault, baby. Trust me." She assured.

He let her go gently, shaking his head.
"No. No, it's all my fault, and I'm so sorry. I miss you so fucking much."

She ran her fingers through his curly hair gently.
"I missed you too."

He hugged her again tightly, inhaling her scent. A part of him was so happy that he was with her at that moment. However, the other part wished so hard that it was all real.

He wanted that moment to last forever.

"I love you so much more than I love myself. You know that, right ?" He whispered.

He could feel her arms hugging him tighter.
"I love you more, babe."

They let each other go a few moments later. Finn stared hard into her eyes, which he missed so much, then glanced at her lips.

Should he kiss her ?

She smiled. Then, as if she read his mind, she leaned in and closed the gap between their lips.

He almost started crying.

He missed that feeling so damn much.

Butterflies filled his stomach as he kissed her back desperately, fearing that she would be gone at any moment.

They broke away for air after a long, passionate kiss.

"I want you to get better for me and move on. And when you're ready, tell my mother what happened that night so she doesn't stress out so much."

He nodded, tearing up.

"If you ever see me again, it probably wouldn't be me, Finn. Just know that I would have anything so we can be together again, and that I always want to be with you, even if we're two worlds apart."

He nodded again, hugging her one last time.

"Goodbye, baby. I love you."

She waved at him with a warm smile, then leaned in to kiss his forehead.

"You will go to sleep now."

A moment passed before he realized that his eyelids were so heavy. He lied down on the bed, and closed his eyes to be met by darkness.
