NAWAL GAZED AT THE THERAPIST IN HOPE.
"So are you telling me that he said something today ? That might be a good sign. Was he pressured or anything ?" The therapist asked.
"No, not at all ! Can you please tell me what should I do ? I'm actually not familiar with these kind of things."
"Okay so, if he spoke to you that means that he's starting to get comfortable around you. Please do not pressure him to talk. So far we can't tell if he's getting better, or if he's going to talk about what happened that night or not. But the best thing to do is to be patient, and talk to him slowly. I also suggest he starts going to school." The lady explained. Nawal made a note to herself so she can memorize what the therapist said.
"Okay, thank you."
She got up and walked out of the office.

"Hey, Finn, sweetie. We have to talk." Nawal began, gesturing for the boy to sit down.
"Listen, so I spoke to your doctor today, and she said that it's best to go back to school."
Finn's eyes widened at the sentence. He shook his head as terror shot through him. She held his arm in reassurance.
"Look, I'm not trying to be mean to you, or hurt you. I promise this is part of your therapy plan. It's supposed to help you get better." She explained, trying to not sound demanding. However, he kept shaking his head as tears of fear filling his eyes.
"I promise I'll always be there for you. If someone bothers you, or if something happens, I'll be there to help. It's just part of the plan. Plus, you'll have my kids with you to protect you."
He began tearing up as he shook his head again. Nawal felt guilty. She stood up and wrapped her arms around him in a reassign hug as he broke down into sobs.
"I'm sorry, Finn. I'm just doing what's best for you.."
As soon as she let him go, she reached up and wiped his tears, smiling sympathetically.
"It's going to be fine."
No, it wouldn't.

The next day came by quickly. Finn, being a light sleeper, woke up to a small, faded noise behind him door. He sat up straight, glancing around his room for a start before he got up to change his clothes.
He went downstairs to the dining room after he was done.
And was met by the family's sympathetic looks as soon as he walked through the door. He mentally rolled his eyes."So. Big day, huh ? Look, I don't want you to get nervous at all. They will look out for you." Nawal said with slight enthusiasm, then glanced at her kids seriously.
"Right, guys ?"
Rajwan rolled his eyes while him and Adam gave a disterested, seemingly reassuring reply.
"Right.""Sure thing, mum ! It's going to be a great day." Luna assured. Finn gave her the slightest smile as he nodded. Then over-thought her words while chugging down a spoonful of cereal.
Today is going to be a good day.
