NAWAL SIGHED HEAVILY as she stared at the doctor in disappointment. She glanced over at Finn, then back at the therapist.
"What do you suggest I should do then?"

"I'm sorry, Mrs Mohamed, but we tried everything. He refuses to talk. He doesn't even want to look me in the eyes ! I suggest you be really patient with him. If you don't, he will just stay silent."

Finn bit his lip, sinking his nails in the leather chair.
"Finn went mute, Mrs Mohamed. I think your other kids should spend time with him, even if he stays silent, and talk to him about things he like. Please do not pressure him into speaking. Maybe, just maybe. I don't know. Maybe he'll tell us what happened that night."

The lady nodded, standing up. She gently touched Finn's arm to make him get up. He obeyed.

Soon enough, the pair left the place.

Nawal sat in the car, took a glance at Finn in the backseat, then hit her head against the steering wheel, and let out a tear.

"I just want to know what happened. Is that too much to ask ? I want to know what happened to my daughter !" She exclaimed. Finn flinched, closing his eyes while backing away slightly.

She noticed him, and immediately felt guilty.
"Sorry, Finn. Please don't be scared of me. I promise I won't hurt you."

He gulped, and slightly nodded.

"Okay. Let's go back to the restaurant."

As soon as they arrived at the restaurant, the lady entered, while Finn just followed silently, keeping his head down.

"Oh. Look who's back ! Any hope yet ?" Adam asked sarcastically.
"Mind your own damn business, and don't bother him. You hear me, Adam ?" Adam nodded slowly, his face had an angry expression.

"Tell the exact same thing to your brother, because if his mental health got worse, it will be all your damn fault and I won't go so easy on you." She threatened.

Finn went in to sit in the small room behind the kitchen, as he wanted to be alone.

He sat down on the couch, and took a grip on his phone, which was in his pocket. He unlocked the screen password, then went straight to the gallery.

The first thing he saw was his pictures with Mal. A picture where him and the love of his life hugging each other while looking at the camera. One with them looking at each other like lovestruck idiots.

He wasn't Mal's first love, but she was his. He would've done anything to make her happy. He would've done anything for her.

In fact, she was happy.

They were happy, for the span of thirty days. They moved in the abandoned house, and were all really excited.

However, it was his fault they moved in the house in the first place. He was too selfish.

If only they stayed in the city and never left their families' side. Maybe his brother would've been alive at that moment.

And maybe Mal would've been alive too.

Tears found their way through his face, and he let them flow, letting out soft sobs.

It was all his fault.
