Since Steve and I started working again, my parents started giving me the works that I deserve. I told them not to take it easy on me just because of what happened, I want to work hard to forget what happened to my son even just for a while. Kuya Lazarillo was there for me to guide me since he was still working as the CEO of El Line despite his hectic schedule as a singer and model. Papa was replacing him as the CEO sometimes when he really can't work because of his career. We already told him to just focus on his career and we'll handle the company by ourselves, but he declined. He told us not to worry and that he can handle himself.
Kalani was working under El Line while she was studying law since she wants to be a lawyer just like her father. She was currently studying law for almost two years now since we graduated college. She was doing great since she's really smart despite her being a lazy person. She was working here as her training under her father. I heard from Kalani that she will transfer herself to a law firm soon to have experience working in a law firm, where she belongs. Kuya Lazarus said that he will handle Kalani since he knows that Kalani will be a great lawyer soon.
"Gosh! Feeling ko may sama ng loob sa 'kin 'yung head namin, e! Ako lagi ang pinagi-initan! Ina-ano ko ba siya?!" Kalani complaint while we were inside the elevator, going to the canteen to eat our lunch. "Ano, ate girl?! Inggit ka sa ganda ko?! 'Pag inggit, pikit para mabawasan ang pait na iyong sinasapit!"
I shook my head as I heard her statements. Kahit kailan talaga ay hindi na siya magba-bago. Hindi ko alam kung bakit ba siya ganito pero kahit gan'yan siya, hindi ko siya iiwan. Pa'no na lang ang magma-mahal niya sa kapatid ko? Sigurado pa naman ako na siya na ang sister in law ko.
"Does Oliver knows that we're eating together?" I asked while reading Steve's messages to me. "Steve texted me. He's asking about Oliver,"
"Aba, malay ko! 'Di ko naman siya kailangang i-inform sa lahat nang gagawin ko, 'no! Ano kami?! Mag-jowa?!" Kalani answered with her widened eyes. "Isa pa 'yang si Steve! Parang tanga! I suggest he take you to a motel on your wedding anniversary, but he just laughed at me! Gago, ah?! Akala niya yata, nagbi-biro ako sa suggestion kong 'yon!"
"Motel, Kalani?" I asked as my lips parted. I looked at her with my widened eyes, making her winced at me before rolling her eyes.
"Ano bang reaksyon 'yan, Lalaura Raven? Virgin ka pa ba? Kailan ba ang huling sex niyong mag-asawa kayo at bakit parang 'di pa rin kayo sanay sa isa't isa kahit na magi-isang taon na kayong kasal?!"
"The last time we had sex was the first time—"
"Putang ina, seryoso ka ba?!" Hindi makapaniwalang tanong sa 'kin ni Kalani habang nanlalaki ang kaniyang mga mata. When I didn't answer her, she gasped in disappointment and surprise. "Pucha. Ang hina naman ni Steve,"
"Sa rami nang nangyari, Kalani, bakit pa namin iisipin ang bagay na 'yon?" Tanong ko kasabay nang pag-bukas ng pinto ng elevator, inilabas ang kapatid ko na nakakunot ang noo habang may binabasa sa itim na folder na hawak niya.
Kuya Lazarilo didn't notice our presence since he was too focused on the folder he was holding. He entered the elevator and pushed a button on his floor before reading the folder again. He just gave us his attention when I called out his name.
"Kuya," I called him, making him looked at me upon recognizing my voice.
"Princess," He softly called me as his eyes quickly glanced at Kalani who rolled her eyes at him. "Are you going to eat your lunch?"
