"I really can't believe that someone cheated on you, Laura! Ang ganda-ganda mo kaya! Matalino't mabait pa!" Oliver remarked while we were sitting on a bench.
"Crush mo ba si Laura?" Kalani directly asked while she was sitting beside me.
"Hindi, ah." Tanggi niya. "Mahal lang. Charot."
"Ay, weak. May charot." Asar ni Kalani.
"At least, 'di umasa." Asar pabalik ni Oliver.
Nanatili akong tahimik habang binabasa ang dala kong libro. It was a novel that I bought last night. I was with my brothers because they were trying to entertain me so I could forget about Orlando. My parents heard about it which made them talked with the Escalantes, Orlando's family. Papa was furious last night because of what he heard. He wanted to punch Orlando, but Mama stopped him. They talked to the Escalantes and made them promise that Orlando won't bother nor try to talk to me again.
Hindi ko alam kung bakit lumapit sa amin sina Steve at Oliver nang makita nila kami ni Kalani na nakaupo rito sa may bench. Kaming dalawa lang ni Kalani ang magkasama dahil gano'n naman palagi. Wala kaming klase ngayong mga oras na 'to dahil hindi pumasok iyong prof namin.
Nagkalat ang mga binili naming candies at chocolates ni Kalani sa lamesang nasa unahan namin dahil iyon ang mga kinakain namin habang wala kaming magawa. Mukhang si Oliver pa ang uubos dahil kanina pa siya kain nang kain ng mga 'yon. Si Steve naman ay tahimik na nagre-review para sa quiz namin bukas. Tapos na naman na akong mag-review para roon pero mamayang gabi ay magre-review ulit ako.
Inabot ko ang bottled mineral water na binili ko upang uminom nang makaramdam ng uhaw. Habang umiinom ako ay nasa libro ko lang ang mga mata ko. Nang matapos sa pag-inom ay agad akong humanap ng tissue na pwedeng ipampunas sa mga labi ko dahil nakalimutan kong mag-dala ng panyo.
"Here," Nag-angat ako ng tingin kay Steve nang may i-abot siyang dilaw na panyo. "Take it."
Alinlangan kong kinuha ang panyo'ng inaalok niya nang wala akong makitang tissue. Marahan ko iyong ipinampunas sa aking labi pati na rin sa aking baba nang mamataan ko ang dalawa na pinapanood na kami ni Steve.
"Bagay kayo." Naniningkit ang mga matang sambit ni Oliver habang nakatingin sa 'min ni Steve.
"Tao kami, tanga." Pamimilosopo ni Steve.
"Taong kayo. Gano'n ba, Steve?" Nakangiwing tanong ni Kalani.
"Pwede," Natatawang sagot ni Steve.
Their conversation were cut when one of our classmates called us because our prof was already arriving. We all stood and got up all our things before we almost run towards our classroom. We entered the room and immediately sat on our table while heavily breathing.
In the middle of our discussion, my eyes went to my left hand. I blinked when I noticed that I was still holding Steve's handkerchief. I looked around the classroom and found Steve on the left side, carefully listening to our teacher who was in front. I licked my lower lip before listening to our teacher again and decided to give his handkerchief back after the class.
I immediately fixed my things while Kalani was just fixing her face. I was about to stand up when Oliver and Steve stood in front of us. I blinked in confusion when Oliv cleared his throat, taking our attention.
"Let's have lunch together. Steve's treat!" Oliver said while smiling which made Steve's eyebrows furrowed.
"What?" Steve hissed.
