Tsunami and Riptide are one of those neutral ships for me. I don't hate them together, but it's not like I'm fawning over them either.
That being said, I still ship them. I just... don't love the ship? I don't know what I'm trying to say here.
Either way, here are my thoughts:
Riptide is dragon who is hated by pretty much everyone. His dad is a traitor to the tribe, and he's judged by that. He's a rule follower and relatively cautious. He tries his hardest to be a good boy, works for the queen, stays away from the tribe, all that jazz.
And then he meets Tsunami. And I just have to say, the first thing she ever says to him is, "Hey sparkling teeth, I totally love three of her claws but not the others, and I wish your nose was a herrig so I could eat it, and also your wings sound like sharks snoring." I mean, that earns +10 points for team Ripnami. Also, don't ask me what a herrig is. I don't know. May be a typo or something.
Anyway, then he meets Tsunami. She's loud, brave, reckless, all of the things he's not. And he loves it. Okay, maybe not at first, because the second thing she does when she meets him is slash her talons across his nose. That's pretty much Tsunami in a nutshell for you.
And then there's that whole shenanigan where she stands up for him and he teaches her Aquatic and all that. It makes sense that they'll fall in love.
But then the second arc starts and things start to get weird.
They're not talking to each other, and they're secretly wishing to see the other, and all that weirdness.
JUST TALK TO EACH OTHER ALREADY!!! YOU'RE JUST KILLING THE REST OF US!!! TALK!!!!!!!!!
I'm sorry you had to see that. I just couldn't hold it in, and you know how it is... Right? Normal people do do that, right?
Alright, either way, they just need to talk to each other and admit how they feel. It's way over due. And like Nike would say: Just do it!
Thank you.
