In honor of Pride Month, I decided to do Anemarin! On that note, happy Pride Month! Alright, now about Anemarin.
I'm a little sad that we don't get much content about this ship. It's kind of just thrown in there at the end of arc 2, and that's it. That being said, I'm not quite sure how I feel about it.
You have Tamarin: she's blind, talented, sweet, mildly shy, all of that jazz. If she needs a partner, she needs someone kind and caring and probably very snugly.
And then there's Anemone.
I don't mean to sound like a hater, but every since arc 2 I've been very skeptical about Anemone. Animus magic has gotten to her. And I know about Qibli's soul protection spell and I also know about some certain event explained in "The Dangerous Gift" that I'm not gonna say for spoiler purposes, but still!
If Anemone were to break Tamarin's heart, she'd have a lot of new haters, including her brothers crush and the queen of both the RainWings and the NightWings. That would suck. I'm not saying that she will break Tamarin's heart, I'm just saying that it's a possibility.
Also, I don't know what her mom would think about her little crush. First, one of her sons goes and falls for a RainWing who's a close friend with the queen. I can picture her thinking: "Alright, fine. He's just one of my sons and it's not like I need him to be queen or anything. Plus, if all things go well, we can make a marriage alliance!"
But then if one of her three daughters ends up crushing on a RainWing who is also a close friend with the queen, she might become suspicious. I mean, who knows what kind of magic those mysterious rainforest dragons might have, right? And then it'd be very strange to have two queens of one tribe and have one of the queens be in a completely different tribe.
So my point is, as of right now, Anemarin isn't a ship that I'd ship mostly because I don't trust Anemone.
Thank you.
