Okay, I honestly don't know if this is a popular opinion or not, but here's what I think:
Sunny should be by herself!
She. Doesn't. Need. A. MATE!!!
I feel like with this series, if you're a main character, you're gonna fall in love whether you like it or not.
But why oh why can't we have a protagonist that just, isn't interested in a relationship?
I think Sunny is the perfect candidate for that.
Think about it. She's super happy and perky and just content with life. She don't need no partner to make her happy, she's good.
Plus, she did turn down Starflight; said she didn't feel that way about him. Soooo what if she's just not looking for love. What if she's aromatic and is just good to have her four best friends and her school?
Think about it!
Although, I'm pretty sure Tui confirmed that she had a love interest for Sunny in mind but just didn't know how to introduce them...
Dang it!
Whatever, I still don't ship Sunny with anyone, and this new love interest has gotta be extremely good if they wanna get me to ship them with Sunny. REALLY GOOD.
So moral of the story: SUNNY X NOBODY FOR EVERRRRR!!!
