LYCAON HOWLED WHEN LUNA'S ARROW SANK INTO THE GUT OF ONE OF HIS WOLVES.

The wolf whimpered before bursting into a puddle of shadow, and Luna couldn't help but smirk at the wolf-man as she pulled another arrow from her quiver. She set her aim dead on his forehead, but before she could even think of letting it fly he clicked his finger, and one of the wolves made a move, shooting forward. Before it could get close enough, Leo tossed something at the ground, yanking Luna back by her elbow as a sharp stench filled the air, then proceeding to shoot flames at the pool of clear liquid on the ground, which caused a wall of flames to erupt, so high and hot Luna felt her entire stomach flip.

Her vision flickered, and she saw glimpses of a cyclops above her, the phantom feeling of flames licking at her spine causing her to freeze in her spot. Hedge said something, but it was a distant buzz in her ears.

"Luna," Jason's voice pulled her back to reality, his eyes boring into her soul. "Shoot more!"

She blinked quickly, swallowing down the sick that threatened to crawl up from her gut at the smell of gasoline and the warmth of the roaring flames, pulling her bow up confidently and letting arrow after arrow fly. A majority of the wolves retreated, some catching fire and rushing off to the snow in hopes of quenching the flames, others meeting their end due to her perfect aim.

"Gleeson, wake Archie up." Luna ordered over her shoulder, paler than the moon. "We're gonna need him when the flames die out."

"But—"

"Coach, listen to her." Jason told the satyr firmly, using a hand to stabilize Piper, who looked dizzy at the pungent odor of the gas. "She's saving our asses right now."

Luna reached into her quiver and pulled another arrow out without entirely looking at it, but this time when she let it fly in Lycaon's direction it simply passed through him, a blur of bronze that disappeared into the storm.

"Wha—" Luna pulled another from her quiver, picturing the glinting silver shaft, but when she reached in again it only produced a bronze arrow. "Shit! Well, now this thing has limits!"

Leo laughed nervously, shooting more balls of fire, but looking more fatigued with each one he summoned. "I can't summon anymore gas! Wow, that came out wrong. I mean the burning kind. Gonna take the tool belt a while to recharge. What else you got, moon star? Jason?"
