Y/N's POV
I was walking down the street in my military uniform. I was heading home after a day at work, until I heard someone running behind me.
As the running slowly stopped, a person grabbed my hand. It was my boyfriend, James or Bucky for short. He was also in his military uniform.
"Hey doll, didn't expect to see you here"
"I was allowed to leave early today. I'm looking for Steve, have you seen him ?"
"Wow. No 'Hi Bucky, you look very handsome today. How are you ?'" He said sarcastically making me laugh.
I hugged him before looking up to see his face.
"Hi Bucky, how are you doing today ?" I said with a smile.
"Glad you asked. You can now officially call me Sergeant James Buchanan Barnes of the 107th. I've been given my orders" He said proudly.
"When do you leave ?" I asked
"Tomorrow morning. But since your also in the military, you can follow my group. You could help us with strategy or whatever it is you do"
Before I had time to respond, we heard the sound of someone getting beaten up in an alleyway.
We both walked in the alleyway only to notice that it was none other than Steve.
Bucky put his hand on the attacker's shoulder
"Hey ! Pick on someone your own size" The attacker tried to punch him but he dodged.
I made my way to my brother and helped him up.
"You need to stop getting in fights, you're gonna hurt yourself"
"I appreciate your concern Y/N, but I almost had him"
Bucky picked up a piece of paper that fell out of Steve's jacket.
"Oh, you're from Paramus now ? You know it's illegal to lie on the enlistment form" He said.
"You get your Orders ?" Steve asked.
"The 107th. Sergeant James Barnes shipping out for England first thing Tomorrow"
Steve looked disappointed. Bucky grabbed him by the shoulder and started walking away.
"Come on man ! It's my last night. I got to get you cleaned up"
"Why ? Where are we going ?"
"The future" He said handing him a newspaper.
The three of us kept on walking. Steve looked at me.
"Are you going to England with him ? You're outfits are matching"
"I might join later, but I wouldn't want to leave my brother alone !"
"Older brother" He corrected.
Bucky looked at him and laughed.
"She looks like your older sister"
"Yeah, and you're only a couple minutes older you know" I added.

"I don't see what the problem is. You're about to be the last eligible man in New York. You know there's three and a half million women here ?" Bucky said, trying to cheer up Steve.
"Well, I'd settle for just one"
"Good thing I took care of that" He said waving at a girl in the crowd.
"Hey Bucky !" She said walking towards us
"This is Steve, and this is my girlfriend Y/N. We should get going"
