Chapter 5

3rd Person POV

Bucky and Steve both forced themselves to go on missions, since they didn't want to let their team down. Y/N's death had taken a toll on the both of them.

The Howling Commando were now on their way to capture Zola who was apparently on a train on top of a mountain.

"Maybe she's still alive"

"Bucky, stop"

"We never saw her corpse. She could have been captured by Hydra"

"Y/N wouldn't let herself be captured, and she wouldn't have lost the bracelet"

They walked towards a zip line that lead on top of the train. As Steve shouted instructions, Bucky only had one thing on his mind. How could he save Y/N ? Was she really dead and he just did not want to admit it to himself ? Was she actually alive and in pain ? Did Zola have her ?

He and Steve made it to the roof of the train and got inside. Steve walked trough a door before it closed and separated him from Bucky.

A Hydra soldier started shooting at Bucky. He tried shooting back, but he quickly ran out of bullets.

Steve managed to open the door and gave Bucky a gun. The soldier shot a wall and in the process created a gigantic hole in the train.

As Steve and Bucky continued to fight, Bucky accidentally fell trough the hole and was holding onto a piece of railing.

Steve took care of the Hydra soldier and quickly made his way to Bucky. He extended his hand but before his friend could reach him, the railing broke causing Bucky to fall down the cliff.

As he fell he could only think of one thing. Y/N. He hoped that she was still alive and that Steve would save her. He smiled. Even at death's door she could always make him smile.

Y/N had been at the Hydra Facility for a week. She was being trained into the perfect assassin. She had no memories of her past. She couldn't remember Steve or Peggy. She couldn't even remember Bucky.

She was training by herself until she heard guards telling her to follow them.

"They're going to put her in Cryo. They just found another test subject for the program. She used to know him and they don't want him messing with her training" Said one of the guards.

Y/N walked in the room in which her memories were erased and walked towards a Cryo freezing chamber.

She got inside the chamber and her vision became blurry. Soon, she was completely frozen.

Bucky's POV

When I opened my eyes, I realized I was on a table surrounded by doctors. My left shoulder was extremely painful. When I looked at it, I realized that my arm was completely gone. The doctors were attaching hot metal to my shoulder. Soon enough, I had a metal arm with a red star on the shoulder. I screamed in pain, but no one seemed to care.

The doctors injected a blue liquid in my veins. It was extremely painful. I screamed at the top of my lungs, but the doctors didn't even move. As if they had done this before.

A doctor said something in a language that I couldn't comprehend. Two guards grabbed me and brought me to a different room.

I looked around the room. There was a black chair and some sort of device on top of it. It had multiple wires and looked like it hurt quite a lot.

There were multiple tubes that looked like they were made to contain people. I looked at the only chamber that had light on the inside. I looked closely at the person's face.
