CALL FOR WAR
~~~°°°~~~
"Get me another big bowl of fried chicken," Mary said to the maid standing beside her. She laid on her bed, eyes closed and she tore off pieces of meat from the big chicken lap she held in her hands, even demons liked good things.
"Yes princess." She nodded her head and walked out of the room quickly.
Mary smiled, it was good to be home. She planned on doing nothing but eating and sleeping while she waited for her mother to figure everything out. She didn't like to be called lazy though, she was just really dedicated to doing absolutely nothing.
She heard a small knock. "Come in!" she yelled, expecting the maid she sent out to be the one to show up. But it was another maid.
"Princess, your mother ask that you meet her," she said, her eyes to the floor.
Mary sighed. "What's wrong, can't I be lazy in peace?" She groaned loudly rolling out from her bed. "Where is she?"
"The meeting room."
"Fine. I will be there. You can leave now."
"Yes princess." She left without another word.
Mary sighed as she walked to the door, usually she would just have teleported to meet her mother, but with no powers, she had to walk. She went out the room, down the halls, to the place she knew her mother was in. Without knocking, she pushed the door open.
"You called for me-" she stopped when her eyes landed on Simon. "What's your bitch doing here?"
"Watch your tongue young woman!" Athea snapped. "We're here trying to help you and what have you been doing?"
"Eating fried chicken," Mary said honestly. "What did you call me?" she crossed her arms before her.
Athea sighed, glancing over to Simon. "We can't find Chioma, but, Simon has figured out a way to find the Tarum, we find the Tarum and there we expect Chioma will be."
Mary smiled as she looked over to Simon. "Well, you do put your brain to use after all." Simon shook his head rolling his eyes at the statement. "So, how do we find the Tarum."
"You," Simon said.
"Me?" Mary asked confused. "I don't understand." she added.
"The Tarum holds your powers and though you may not feel it, you are not completely drained, just nearly, it means you're still connected to your powers, if we can boost you up a little bit, it will make the connection to your powers stronger and then you can find the Tarum which holds it," He told her.
"What do you mean by boost me up?" Mary asked.
"Boost your tie up Mary," Athea told her. "We'll need a virgin to perform this."
"Eh?"
"A virgin." she repeated. "Not one of those weak bones you bring. That man you were with last night, I smelt virgin blood on him."
"Yeah, how did you know that? I don't remember telling you."
"Well, when or if you ever get to my stage." Mary rolled her eyes at that. "You'll be able to tell."
"If you knew this, why didn't you just help me fetch a virgin, if you had helped me, I wouldn't have lost my powers."
"I didn't help you because if you're ever to complete your tie, it's something you need to do on your own, not with my help, I can't be partial in this."
"Fine. So what do you need Ikechukwu for?"
"Ikechukwu," Mary heard Simon mutter. "What a stupid name."
"Shut up."
"Can you two stop bickering for a moment." Athea had enough already. "Mary, you need to sleep with the virgin."
Mary shook her head. "That's not going to happen."
"What do you mean? He is the solution to your problems. Do you like the current situation you're in and this isn't an option, we have to find Chioma."
"Can't you find another virgin? You did say it was easy for you, right?"
"Why find another one when we already have one?" Simon asked.
"I was speaking to my mother parrot."
Athea shook her head. "No, Simon is right. Why can't we use the human. Earlier you didn't want me to kill him, something you have never had a problem with, now you are insisting on not using him." she eyed her daughter. "Do you care for him?"
"Gross. No, why will you even think that?"
"It's your actions that put the thoughts in my mind."
"Well kick them out, I don't care for anybody. What do you need me to do?"
"You're to fetch the virgin, sleep with him that's all, then track the Tarum."
"Will anything happen to Ikechukwu after I have slept with him? Not like I care or anything." she shrugged. "Just asking."
Athea looked at Simon nervously before speaking. "N-Nothing bad will happen."
"Nothing bad? What aren't you telling me Mother?"
Athea coughed. "Eh... You two will uh...be connected." Mary kept quiet waiting for her mother to go on. "Well, this isn't like any... How do I put this? This—This is going to be different, you and the young man may grow a bond."
Mary stood staring at a mother with a blank expression. "You're saying he's going to be like my...?"
"It's not going to be forever, when you get your powers back you can break the bond easily if you want to."
"If I want to? Why wouldn't I want to."
"You never know," she gave a small smile looking at Simon.
Mary felt her insides stiffening, she couldn't believe it. "You two," she looked from her mother to Simon. "You two share a bond? Ewww."
"This is a topic for another day, now, you need to go get the virgin."
"How, I don't even have enough energy to lift up a toothpick, talk more go to the human world."
"I know that," Athea stood up from her seat. "That why we made you a power orb." Simon approached with a necklace. "Wear this and you'll be able to perform simple tasks and contact me whenever you want."
"Cool," Mary said excitedly. "So-"
The door was pushed open and a guard ran in. She fell down to her knees the moment she stepped into the room. "My Queen, pardon me for barging in, but there's a problem."
"Stand up Edna, tell me, what's the problem."
Breathing heavily Edna stood up, dusting her knees. "I just got word from Philly, Queen Banshee has been taken"
"By who? What happened to my sister?"
"It's Chioma, she was able to get to the Queen with the help of the Tarum, words have it that she has trapped her soul in a prison world."
"That bitch." Athea gritted her teeth angrily. "I've done nothing but treated her like my own daughter and this is how I'm repaid?"
Mary frowned. "Calm down Mother." she turned to the guard. "Any idea where she's headed to next?"
"No," the guard shook her head.
"Mary you have to go fetch the virgin now, I was willing to pardon Chioma before, but she just touched my blood, now it's war."
