Anxiety (Lena Luthor)

Your POV

I walked in to school looking down at the ground hoping I don't run into anyone I hate it here one person makes it worth it a beautiful brunette with emerald eyes, Lena Luthor she's been my crush for a while she'll never notice me and that's fine as long as she's in the room I feel safer. I walked into science her favourite class god I'm probably a creepy stalker for knowing that. I took out my work and worked on some math and listen to some music while I wait for class to start. I'm in my own little world when I feel someone tap my shoulder I look up and look directly into her eyes "hi is it ok if I sit here" I nod not having any words no one ever sits with me I'm the outcast I never thought it would be her "I'm Lena" she said with a smile that completely melts me "oh um I'm Y/N, Y/N Y/L/N" I stutter out "Y/N what a pretty name" was this girl trying to kill me "thanks" I mumbled she probably didn't hear it.

The teacher is going so fast I can barley keep up and I'm already behind in this class god my mom will kill me if I get a bad grade, I can hear my heartbeat speeding up I'm already feeling nauseous and my leg bouncing "ok so finish part 1 to 7 and your done got the day" M. stein said he is a good teacher I like him but I just hate asking for help so I normally struggle.

Perfect I have to do 3 pages from yesterday and a bunch of questions today I let out a shaky breath "hey you ok" I totally forgot Lena was even here I looked at her and tried to say I was fine but the words weren't coming out she glanced at my pile of papers and looked back at my Y/E/C eyes "I can help if you want I'm pretty good at science" "oh I wouldn't want to bother you it's ok I can figure it out" "nonsense you are no bother at all I really don't mind what do you need help with" she was definitely determined so I agreed.

After about a half hour we finished my 3 pages from yesterday and now we're doing the questions together "thanks Lena I really appreciate it" I smile up at her "not a problem Y/N".

The bell rang everyone started moving my heart rate picked up I tried to stay calm and it was working until a group of girls walked up to Lena I didn't know them "hey Lena who is this" a blond girl asked she was with a lot of other people and I was freaking out "oh this is Y/N" I could barely hear anything just breath I keep telling myself but it's really not working "Y/N?" I looked up to a confused Lena and her friends were probably also confused but I can't be in this room anymore "I uh got to go" I said and ran to the bathroom puking.

Once I was done I sat on the floor my limbs giving out and put my head in my knees and start to cry why was I such an idiot why can't I just be Normal I hear the door open so I stayed quiet "Y/N are you in here" I heard a soft voice say god I don't know what to do "yeah" I spoke quietly hoping she wouldn't hear me "can I come in" I unlock the stall and hide my face in embarrassment "you ok" I thought she would be mad for running away "I'm sorry" I mumbled she sat closer to me "don't be sorry, what happened? Did I do something?" I can see the panic in her eyes  I didn't think she would care "it wasn't you I um have really bad anxiety and when your friends came there was just a lot of people and I'm not exactly used to it..." I slowly lift my head scared of her reaction "I'm sorry Y/N I should have guessed I didn't want to assume but maybe I could have done something" I chuckled "no it's really not your fault it happens quite a bit I just feel bad for running out" she grabbed my hand which made me look up into her green eyes "well I'm not leaving you in here alone so we can either stay in here and have lunch or we can have lunch together just us or I can bring 1 or 2 of my friends for you to meet we can start slow"
"You still want to be around me?"
"Well yes why wouldn't I" I let out a sigh "well Um people don't exactly like me and if someone wants to be my friend they end up getting annoyed when I can't handle being around people and drop me"
"That's awful I'm sorry that happened but I'm not like that and I am gonna be your friend oh well um if you want of course" she stumbled all over her words I giggled "yes I would love to" she smiled "ok so what's the plan" I thought about it "Um I guess I'll meet a couple of your friends"
"Ok so I've got the perfect 2 so there's Kara and Nia there super nice you'll love them" she got up and held her hand out for me I took it and we walked out together.

I met with Kara and Nia and had an amazing lunch we all laughed and had fun the day started horribly but then I ended up making 3 friends.
