Your POV

"Alright we are heading to 2020" I froze no one seems to notice except Zari but she chose not to say anything "so me and Ava, y/n and Z will go out and see what we can find the rest your backup" the captain yells out. I walk over to me and Zaris shared room she wasn't far behind "hey babe you ok" she asked "this is my town my sister lives here" she tried to connect the dots "but you were in star city" I nod "yeah I went for a quick trip and then rip basically kidnapped me with the rest of the gang but I had told my sister I was only going to be a couple days a week at most and it's been 2 years I never seen or talk to her since she could think I'm dead, Z I don't think I can face her I just took off without saying goodbye but I want to see her so bad" Z takes my hand and takes a breath "you don't have to go but I think you should if I had the chance to see Behrad again I would want it even if he wasn't dead and left I would want to but it's your choice I'm with you no matter what, you want me to go with you I'll go if you want me to stay I'll stay" I hug her really tight "thanks Z I love you so much".

Zari and I are on our way to my sisters house I'm getting more and more anxious what if she hates me for leaving.... I knock at the door I can hear movement and the door opens I see my older sister "hey Ash..." she doesn't move neither do I "is it really you y/n/n" I nod holding back the tears, she wraps her arms around me and cries "I thought you were dead or kidnapped or worse" I bury my head in the crook of her neck "I'm so sorry I should have come sooner I didn't have the time but I'm here now" I whisper.

We break apart and she looks over at the brunette next to me "who's your friend" I take Zaris hand in mine "this is Zari Tomaz and she is my girlfriend" I smile
"Oh my god I'm so happy for you come in, come in" we walk in the house nothings changed Ashley's always hated change
"So where have you been for 2 years and why haven't you called I was worried sick"
"I um was travelling and I met Zari and I couldn't call some places because of lack of service and I kept forgetting I mean the world is amazing and very distracting" I lie I feel horrible but I don't think I can tell her, I don't think she buys it I stretch my arms out and my top raises a bit showing one of my bigger scars from Damian "oh my god y/n what is that" she runs over lifting my shirt my heart drops I had way more then one scar I mean it comes with the job "how did you get these and I don't want to hear some bullshit lie about travelling because you hate travelling and you always have so tell me the damn truth you have no right to come back after two years of ghosting me to lie right to my face is this really your girlfriend or is that a lie too" she screams
"I deserve that, your right I lied the truth is complicated" she steps back "is that how you got all those scars" she whispers I can't tell if she's mad or sad it might be both "yes but I knew what I was getting into the truth is I was giving an opportunity of a lifetime something that doesn't just happen so I took it and I didn't want to scare you so I said yes and left the job it comes with some...bad people but I help stop them and I met Zari last year me and the team saved her and brought her on our crazy adventure and phones don't exactly work the same that's the truth" Zari was holding my hand "Z, y/n where are you we can't find the creature, Ray do you have anything useful" I hear in my comms I look a Zari "um yeah actually I see a heat signature by Z and y/n you guys and find it" my eyes went wide I decided to pitch in "what the hell Ray why didn't you say anything where is it" "I just noticed it and it should be behind you" I hear the slightest noise and grab my blade in my boot and whip it in the direction, my sisters gasps while Zari gets up ready to fight another noise is heard I whip my second blade in a different direction a creature shows itself. "Z get Ashley out of here I'll deal with this" she hesitates not wanting to leave me "Z NOW" I yell "I could use some backup Sara, Ava or anyone really this thing is not nice and is very strong" as I finish my sentence I'm thrown into the wall "Y/N" my sister yells "yup I'm good I'll pay for the damage promise" I get back up and continue to fight it I'm a lot smaller and way quicker then it, I hear a portal and see Sara and Ava come running the three of us manage to trank it without to much damage except my ribs.

"Thanks for the backup" I tell Sara she smiles "no problem who's house is this" she looks around "um well my sisters?" I say quietly "y/n this is what the briefing meetings are for to tell us what we may run into, never mind is she ok" we all look by the stairs to see my girlfriend and sister "yeah she's just shocked" I look back at the captain "do you need the memory flasher" I sigh "no I have to deal with this for the both of us may I tell her about us please" I ask giving her my puppy dog eyes Ava was not affected at all but Sara has a soft spot for me she always had "y/n ugh the eyes fine just fix your mess and your cooking dinner" she runs through a portal before I can protest "bitch" I say under my breath.

We all sit on the couch ignoring all the damage "so you probably want an explanation" she finishes processing what just happened "it would be nice so you did lie again" "no I didn't I just left out half the story so here it is, when I was in star city a man had kidnapped me not to harm me but because he knew I wouldn't talk to him or believe what he had to say and he was right. When I woke up I was on a roof with 9 others he told us the future was in danger and a dangerous man was going to destroy it and he needed our help once he finished his big performance he told us to think on it and if we wanted in to come back the next day and I thought about it hard this was huge I mean timetravel doesn't just happen,helping the world I couldn't say no plus he also said we were legends but that was a lie but he got punched for that one. Point is he took down vandal savage and there were more threats because of us blowing up vanishing point but whatever he asked us if we wanted to go home and none of us left we all stayed and I couldn't text you in 1947 that probably would have been weird to see and there has been problem after problem I didn't exactly have time for visits I'm really sorry and the scars yeah fighting bad guys leaves a mark or two and I promise to keep you updated as much as I can" I let out a huge breath that was a lot and clearly she thought so too.

"Wow that's uh an interesting job you have I'm really happy you came" she gets up and hugs me "take care I love you" Zari gets up and ash hugs her too "take care of her and keep her out of trouble as much as you can" she smiles "I try my best I promise to keep her safe" she lets go and we were ready to go "off to save the table world bye love you" "love you more" we leave and Zari takes my hand "you happy" I kiss her cheek "thanks to you" we walk through a portal hand in hand "I'm gonna play video games wanna come" I keep following her "do you want to play?" I shake my head "you want cuddles?" I nod with a smile on my face.

Zari is playing her games while I'm cuddled up to her "you know your making this really hard right" I look up at her with my puppy dog eyes there was no way out for her "your lucky your so cute" she kisses my head and holds me tighter making herself comfortable "I love you so much y/n" I'm half asleep but I try my best to reply "I luv you too Z" I mumble I fall asleep to the sound of my beautiful girlfriends laughter.
