BEEB BEEB BEEB BEEB, I smack my alarm clock and get out of bed. After getting ready I sit at the table drinking coffee for sanity and It's nice to have a couple minutes of quiet then my phone rings, spoke to soon incoming call from no caller ID I was going to pick up but decided not to so I get my phone and purse to leave to catco. I walk by Kara and wave she gives me a smile and waves back then I pass Nia "hey y/n/n" she is never gonna let that nickname go is she "hey Nia" I can't help smile at the adorable brunette. as I take my seat my phone goes off multiple times so I decide to check

my face drops at the sight this could only be one person and if I'm right then I'm screwed, lost in my own thoughts I didn't even notice Nia come over "hey y/n you there" she waves her hand in front of my face I jump back "oh hey Nia w-what's up" she looks worried "you alright your face is really pale and your shaking" I look down to see my hands trembling "oh uh I didn't even notice yeah I'm fine" I give her a small smile "ok... well I'm going to Noonan's and wanted you to come with" she flashes me her gorgeous smile "please it would mean a lot plus it looks like you need a break from work" she said before I could even answer "alright if you insist" I tease I mean who can say no to Nia.

"so are you free tonight because Kara you know her right" I nod "she does these game nights and I was wondering if you would want to join and be my partner for the game a bored game partner" I can't help but stare at her stuttering "yes I would love to" I say with a stupid grin on my face "hey I will be right back order whatever you want my treat and you can't fight me on it cause I'm walking away" she speed walks to the washroom clever I will give her that so I order us each a milkshake and a fry to share. As the waitress leaves I hear the chair "so I ordered us milkshakes" I stop speaking when I look up "I told you I would find you" I can't even say anything fear taking over "don't make a scene lets go" he demands reaching for my hand "no" I take my hand away "excuse me" his green eyes pierce through mine "you hurt me and I'm never going back" he laughs "there was never a choice last chance before things get messy" he moves his jacket enough to reveal a small gun I freeze. As I'm about to leave I hear a voice "y/n who's your friend" he looks at me hand on the gun I won't let him hurt Nia "my uh boyfriend he's back from a work trip and we are heading home to Seattle" I say holding back the tears "oh really I didn't know you had a boyfriend" she looks at him "she's never mentioned you" he smiles "not a word about you either" he says neither of them breaking eye contact "y/n I need you to come check something for me real quick we won't be long" I get up to follow but my arm was grabbed harshly "sorry miss but we have to go now" his grip was tight and painful it would most likely leave a mark "it will only take a second" he stands up yanking me closer "yeah we don't have that" he starts dragging me to the door. Nia runs in front of the door blocking the exit "listen here I know y/n doesn't have a boyfriend or she would have said something plus I saw you watching us the whole time so if you really were her boyfriend you would have approached us right away unless you have something to hide so you will let go of my girlfriend before I call the cops" she had now gotten a lot of peoples attention I didn't even notice her say girlfriend "your not her girlfriend" she scoffs "and you wouldn't know because your not her boyfriend which is how I know" the more angry he got the tighter his grip got "it's fine Nia let us go" I said quietly wincing from his grip "let go your hurting her" she steps closer "listen here bitch walk away before you can't" he threatens I was afraid he would hurt these innocent people if Nia kept this going and worst of all he won't hesitate to shot Nia "I am friends with some very powerful people so I suggest you let her go and leave while YOU can" the shorter girl was not standing down and it scared me "Nia please" I pleaded for her safety and everyone else "listen to your girlfriend" he says in a low tone "I never listen to anyone" she punches him in the face forcing him to let me go Nia takes my hand putting me behind her "now you've done it" he takes his gun out pointing it at us "SUPERGIRL" Nia yells shielding me from him. As I hear the gunshot I tried to scream but nothing came out but a crash a came from the roof before the bullet hit Nia, Supergirl caught it inches from her face "rot in prison you son of a bitch" Nia spits before supergirl knocked him out and carries him away "It's over now" she turns pulling into a hug tears streaming down my face "I've got you y/n" she whispers.

I hadn't left Nia's side all day I worked at her desk cat didn't seem to mind as long as the work got done plus I think she saw the news and decided to let it slide "would you still want to come to game night you don't have to but the offer still stands" she looks at me her eyes filled with concern "uh yeah I would like to go, I don't exactly want to be alone right now" I give her a small smile "well in that case you can also stay with me tonight at my place if you want" she starts to ramble so I grab her hand "I would love that thank you Nia you've done so much for me and I appreciate it I don't know what would have happened if you weren't there today" I look away holding back tears, she puts her hands on my shoulders "hey don't think like that I was there and there was no way in hell I was letting that piece of shit take you ok" I hug her again and we talk while finishing our work.

later that night we went to Kara's and introduced myself to the group I was definitely anxious at first but like she said the group was super nice and welcoming there was Alex, Kelly, Lena, Kara, Winn and John we had tons of fun we joked and drank for a while Nia and I decided to stay since we were both dunk when everyone was asleep Nia did something extremely bold "hey y/n" she whispers "what's up" I whisper back she puts down the empty wine bottle and looks at me "wanna play spin the bottle" I raise an eyebrow "but there's only two of us-" Nia has this huge smirk "yeah I do wanna play" the alcohol giving me some encouragement she spins the bottle obviously it lands of me she puts her hand on my cheek and leans in pressing her soft lips on mine it was a short but sweet it was intoxicating we pull apart "wow" I say with a smile "wow" she repeats, I lean in crashing my lips on hers this kiss was much more sloppy but it was full of passion and love we break apart leaning our foreheads on one another "I like you a lot y/n/n and I'm scared to screw this up but I want you more then my coworker, more then a friend, more then a -" "shut up and kiss me Nia" she does what I asked and we end up laying on the couch together "I love you y/n" I hear the brunette whisper I freeze and I feel her stop breathing "I love you too Nia" she lets out her breath and kissed my head.

meanwhile in Kara and Lena's room

Kara uses her super hearing to listen on their conversation "they just kissed" she says Lena lets out a laugh "ha that's 10 bucks Darling" she says gloating Kara hand her a 10 dollar bill pouting. Kara continues to listen "I love you too Nia" a huge smile grows on the blonde "ha babe they said I love you give me my money back" she does a little victory dance "alright here you go darling" Lena hands the excited kryptonian her 10 dollars back of course Lena didn't need it but the bet made Kara happy.
