"Welp, that's the last of it," Remus said, setting a box down on top of another.
"Thank you again, Remus," Roman said.
"Hey, what kind of brother would I be if I didn't help my own, bitchy brother move out with his boyfriend."
"Language!" Patton shouted, already helping Virgil to open and unbox some of the items.
"I am older than your whole species, I can say whatever I damn please!"
Patton rolled his eyes with a huff. "You look half my age, so don't blame me for scolding such dirty talk."
"Oh I can talk much dirtier than that."
"Please don't, not while in my house," Virgil told him.
"You are under their roof, you have to follow their rules," Janus added.
"Et tu, Janus? You're all killjoys!"
"Oh Caesar was a pain," Roman chuckled, hanging up a photo of them at Disney World. They had went there to celebrate their high school graduation.
"You meet Julius Caesar?" Logan asked, very interested.
"Meet? I had a contract with one of the senators that killed him!"
"I will never not be amazed by hearing about the historical figures that you've meet."
"Well we went wherever it was the most interesting!" Remus said. "Until the world became dull, then Janny and I moved underwater permanently. Until our home blew up."
"Then you came to live near us," Virgil recounted. "Man you have been a huge pain all these years."
"And hopefully I'll continue to annoy you all. After all, Jan and I can teleport here and you're only an hour away from your uncles."
"And we'll come to visit as often as we can," Patton said.
"Oh, you have your textbooks right, Virgil?" Logan double checked.
"Yeah, their in my room," Virgil replied.
"Good. I'm so proud of you, getting into law school."
"Hey, becoming a lawyer and then hopefully later a judge is the best way to help people get the justice they deserve."
"Well, just remember that all lawyers go to Hell," Remus reminded him.
"Good thing my dad rules Hell."
"Do you have any plans, Roman?" Janus asked.
Roman smiled brightly, bouncing slightly. "Yeah! I'm going to start my own restaurant soon!"
"Really? That's not at all what I expected."
"It's really fun to cook, especially for others."
"And with others," Virgil added.
"I'm pretty sure I began to fall in love with you the first time we cooked together." Roman kissed the top of Virgil's head.
Remus gagged, "You too are so wholesome it's nauseating."
"I already bought this place that I'll renovate and design! I'm going to give it a Roman style, because of my name. I'll bring back some old dishes who's recipes have been lost to history, that I can remember anyway, and of course have more modern dishes for the picky eaters."
"You should see some of his designs," Virgil said, pulling out one of Roman's sketchbooks. "He's done some amazing work so far."
"I can't wait for the grand opening! But I have quite a long time before that can happen. Like making the menus and actually getting what I need for the decorations, not to mention hiring a staff."
"Sounds exciting! I want to be there for the grand opening!" Patton said.
"Of course! I'll invite you all!"
"Even me?" Remus asked, a smirk on his face.
"As long as you promise not to attack or kill anyone."
"I won't start any fights, I'll promise you that and only that."
"How do you handle him, Janus?"
"Are you kidding? He's hot when he has that murderous look in his eyes," Janus told him.
"You two will always be... interesting," Logan commented.
"Glad to see you've adjusted to our existence pretty well," Remus said.
"He did better than I," Patton agreed. "I was freaking out for years. Oh, I almost forgot! I have a gift in the car for you two."
"But you've already done so much for us," Virgil told him.
"It isn't big, just sentimental. Hold on, I'll go get it." Patton ran out of the house.
Roman pulled out Ethan's sword from a box. "Hey, what's this doing here?"
Virgil turned and saw it. "Oh, well I always kept it in my room. I was hoping to find Silvia to give it to her, but I have no idea where she might be or if she's changed her name."
"Silvia?"
"She's Ethan's sister. She's a demon, I guess. Maybe one day I'll find her, and I can give it to her along with Ethan's ashes."
"Well, for now we can hang it up on the wall. Somewhere near Ethan's urn."
Virgil took the sword from Roman, the sword he had used to kill Adrian. "I still really miss him."
"He was a good kid," Logan told him. "Well, if he can be considered a kid."
"I think he has always been a kid. That makes his death worse."
"Yes, but you helped get him the justice he deserves," Roman reminded him. "Wherever Ethan is, I'm sure he's proud of you."
"I hope he's happy."
"Okay, I'm back!" Patton said, holding a small gift wrapped box.
He handed it over to Virgil, who carefully unwrapped it. He opened the box and his eyes widened. "Pat, are you sure?" He pulled out the small ceramic cat, that had broken and glued together with silly glue.
"Of course! After all, I feel like it has more history with you than me. You got it from a gift shop, it broke during the fight you got in where you first discovered your own powers, and then Roman glued it together."
Virgil pulled Patton into a hug before setting the cat down on a shelf. "Thank you so much."
"Of course, I'm so proud of how well you've grown up. You turned out to be such a good man, and I can't wait to see you grow even more."
"This is getting to sappy, I'm gonna order some pizza," Remus said, leaving the room.
"I'll make sure he gets something that everyone will like," Janus added, quickly following him.
"Well, we better set up the TV so we have something to watch while we eat," Roman told them, heading to the living room to unpack it.
"Good thinking, and Patton you're not allowed to touch the TV," Logan said.
"You cause one power outage and suddenly you're not allowed to touch any kind of wire again," Patton huffed.
"I still don't know how you managed to do that," Virgil laughed. "The Super Bowl isn't even that interesting!"
"The commercials are," Roman defended.
"That is true, and I'm sure you brother would definitely agree."
Roman laughed, smiling at Virgil making the emo light up. He smiled as he helped set up the TV, and the beginning of their new life together.
