A Beautiful Dream

Anastasia
I see people who have made my life wonderful. I smile as I watch their faces float by me. I see my babies float by me as well. Wait there are two more boys. I feel light as air and what is that noise. I feel like I am being rushed through to a brilliant room. I am feeling good as the faces float around me, smiling as they go by. I keep thinking about the two little faces that I don't recall seeing before. My head starts hurting and the faces fade away. It becomes dark and scary, I start gasping for air and coughing.
Dr Griffin
The alarm goes off and Mrs Grey is coughing and gasping for air. I take her ventilator off and she starts breathing deep breaths. Her eyes finally open after six days. I check her surgical area as she looks at me. Her family had been here every moment they could and they left just long enough to eat, shower, change and sleep. We had to go in and relieve the pressure off her brain from the accident. It was six days ago. She was placed in a coma so she could heal. She hasn't talked yet. We had concerns, because of where the pressure had built up. It was a pool of blood and we had to drain it.
Christian
I walk in and dr Griffin is asking Anastasia questions, but she isn't answering them. She smiles as she sees me.
Anastasia
I say smiling face. My person. I get flashes of things as I look at him. I see another smiling face from the floating faces. Suddenly I know they are my family. Babies?
Christian
They are home and healthy. Two boys Theodore Raymond Grey and Elliott Christian Grey.
Anastasia
I grimace at the second name. I try to move and he stops me. I have to go to bathroom,
Christian
You have a catheter, they need to remove it. The dr calls for it to be removed. The nurse comes in and asks us to wait outside a moment. Mom comes and waits with me.
Anastasia
The nurse helps me to the restroom. I hurt as I walk to the restroom.. I see where bruises were clearing up. My head is hurting again. I point to my head and try to tell the nurse. She understands and says the dr ordered a pain relief medication just in case. We get done and she helps me out. We get me back in bed. She goes out and three people come back in. I keep trying to recall who they are. The man is holding me and the girl is holding my hand. The woman is saying something as the nurse brings water and pills I think.
Jessica
Mom can you remember us?
Anastasia
Saw smiling faces. You are one of them. My head still hurts. Finally my head stops hurting and more people enter. My babies all come to see me. I know my babies. I hold them all. They talk to me and some coo and others are not making sense. I hug and kiss my babies. Someone comes and takes them away. I miss my babies. The nice smiling face man holds me again. I like this he smells very good. I need to smell better. Someone comes in and puts me in a chair that moves. They put me on a table and tells me to lie still. They finally take me back where they took me from. The nice smelling man is there and helps me to the bed. He holds me and says things. I have no idea what he is talking about.
Grace
Anastasia just woke up and is having to adjust and she is trying to remember and trying to make sense of her world. I explained it to Christian. He had high expectations of what she would be like when she woke up.
Christian
Mom will she recall anything at all?
Grace
We can't guarantee anything yet. But she will be starting therapy today. They will work on everything. Her brain will heal and hopefully she will be back to normal.
Ray
I walk in to see Anastasia and she smiles, but only says smiling faces. I hug and kiss her forehead. She says daddy. She recognized me.
Grace
Are you starting to remember things?
Anastasia
I nod. I can't say the words yet.
Christian
I hope she remembers us, she likes me holding her. I miss her so much and the kids do as well. Jessica passed her drivers test with flying colors. Elliott has been able to go with Ryan to the defensive driving track, but I can't. The children have been needy and miss Anastasia a lot. I am not the same as her.
Grace
I have to go back to work, try to take a nap both of you.
Anastasia
No more hummers.
Christian
You recall the vehicle you were in?
Anastasia
Yes, I hurt head. Too big for us to be safe.
A week later
Christian
Anastasia is trying so hard and she gets frustrated, but her memory is coming back very slowly. They decided to release her. They think she will recall more and more each day. She knows Ray and she knows other people, but she hasn't recalled me fully. Her babies names she has cards with pictures to help her.
A month later
Anastasia
I started getting my memory back in flashes of things that made me happy. I know what everyone's name is. The driver from the other car came to extend his apologies for the accident. I was told a deer caused it all. But we discovered that my being pregnant and tiny caused me to be thrown against the door enough to hurt me more than it should have. We no longer use hummers for the family. Our CPOs can follow us in them though. Ray told me he always made adjustments to my seatbelts so it would keep me safe. I learned that Elliott and Christian have been training in defensive driving with Ryan and Jessica goes along to compete with them both. My doctors won't release me to drive yet.
Mia
I finally tell Anastasia I am married to Timothy Kavanagh and pregnant. She is happy for me. She asked if she got me a wedding present? Christian made sure we got a nice gift.
Tim
I apologize to Anastasia about Not kicking Jacob off the property and she looks like she has no clue. Her memory is not all back yet. Jacob is doing great now and he helps others. Mrs Robertson is still caring for foster children and Jacob helps all the time. He goes and helps the homeless shelter as well.
Kate
Anastasia is still having issues and her memory of me is bad. I tried to get her to give me an interview, but she refused to. Her memory isn't that bad then.
