A Beautiful Day

Mia
The same week we found out we were getting twin newborn girls. Jessica informs the family she is pregnant with five babies. I think mom nearly fainted. Anastasia and Christian asked if she and the babies needed anything at all. They had their guest room readied for them to stay anyway, so they asked if she was craving anything at all. They wouldn't let her get up, they waited on her hand foot. She got frustrated.
James
I watch as they nearly smother Jessica in trying to get her anything she might want. They put her feet up, which she needed. Grace was checking her over and we told Christian and Anastasia that we thought his parents place being close to the hospital we felt it would be better for her to stay there. Plus Grace is a doctor and she can assess her quickly.
Anastasia
I understand that, but I will be visiting her as much as she can handle.
Christian
Me too. I will be getting some help for mom and nurses just in case. I will have Taylor find some.
Ray
I smile at the fact I am going to be a great grandfather of five at once. I look at everything going on around me and think I am going to take Christian and Anastasia up on moving into the guesthouse. I could use some time with my grandchildren.
Mia
I tell everyone that we should be getting twin girls soon. We pick them up on Tuesday morning. We are ready for them. We have names, but not set in stone. I can't imagine thinking of five names. Mom is worried I see it on her face.
A week later
Jessica had to be put in the hospital for the rest of her pregnancy. Her Ob talked to mom and they were worried, so they admitted her. They think it will help if she is here. Tim and I sign the papers for Courtney Grace and Sarah Anastasia Kavanagh. I bring them to see their cousin Jessica. I just can't wrap my head around the age difference, but Christian was a grown up who took his responsibility seriously towards Jessica. Not many 17 year old boys do that. He built an empire, finished high school and took care of Jessica with family helping only when he asked for it. He rarely did. She turned out great, Anastasia came along and added icing to an already good cake.
Jessica
I see Mia and Tim they have two baby carriers with tiny hands stretching out of them. They bring them over to meet me their cousin. I am having Great grandchildren and grandchildren and second cousins. I just hope all my babies are born healthy. I am glad to see my new cousins and they are getting tired, so Tim and Mia head out and in comes mom and dad. They have brought me goodies. Plus my favorite meal.
A month later
James
I finally get the chance to fly down to see Jessica in person. She is bigger and tired and craving odd foods. The ultra sounds show the babies growing evenly. Their size and weight seem good. We still don't know the sex yet. They are all hiding that area. I bet they are all girls. I will be so screwed if they are. Outnumbered by females, plus dating will be fun. I can intimidate all their dates lol.
Dr Eric Frost
I introduce myself to mr Kavanagh and we discuss everything that we are doing for Jessica and the five babies. So far no health issues. With the babies at least. Jessica has elevated blood pressure they are keeping an eye on. Grace walks in and I have an urgent call to answer So I leave. I head to my office and find that I have to deliver triplets tonight. Another six hours and three boys are now in an incubator, but mom has died on the table. I told her husband this might happen if they went to full term and it did. The cancer couldn't be operated on and the chemo would kill the babies, so they chose the babies over her. I head home after giving the husband the news.
Three months later
Grace
I was called to Jessica's room and her labor has started and and she is having the babies three weeks early. They are small but so far they are all healthy. I watch as dr Frost has a staff enter and they start the delivery of the babies.
Dr Frost
I pray the babies are okay and that Jessica survives the birth as well. I deliver a baby boy first, then baby girl, another girl, then two more boys. They are rushed to the NICU to have all the tests they need and apgar scores. They were put on oxygen and IV fluids. They weighed in well. All were over four pounds. The pediatrician on call came and gave us good news.
Dr Angeline Stone
All are breathing well and they started eating. They are amazingly healthy so far. We are keeping them in the NICU to be sure they are okay. You father has guards standing watching over them and you I see.
A day later
James
I go check on the babies and then to see Jessica. I walk in and see man talking to her and he looks up and introduces himself as dr Frost and the guy who delivered our babies. He seems to be a little too friendly with my wife to me. He tells me the birth was fast and the babies are doing goos from what dr Stone said. He says he has to go deliver another multiple birth. He leaves quickly.
Jessica
Well we did it they are doing good and I can leave soon. I need to exercise this weight off. Have you seen them yet?
James
Yes they are tiny, but they are looking healthy, healthier than the other babies in NICU. I kiss Jessica and tell her how much I missed her in our bed. It get hot and we hear a ahem and Christian is there smiling.
Christian
You know that's how you both got into this mess lol I shake James hand and kiss a hug my daughter. They look good Jessica. Your hospital bill is up to date Anastasia paid for it and the bills will be coming to my house.
James
I can afford it mr Grey.
Christian
I know but I wanted to pay for it. Are you guys getting a new place to live now that you have five munchkins?
James
Well I am being transferred to Seattle so we will need a place here. I am on paternity leave as of right now. So I can look into a home here.
Christian
Here is a realtors number just call her and let her know what you are looking for and need. Elliott could build you a home and you could stay with us until it's built, only if you want to. Mind if I help pay for staff until you two find your sea legs with five babies?
James
We will talk about it and let you know our decisions.
Jessica
I appreciate that dad and we definitely will give it some thoughts.
