"Heyyyy, so good to see you!", I scream. At the same time I pull Cami into a tight hug. It's really so good to see her again. I haven't seen her for almost half a year and I really missed her. She's one of my best friends and that she's living so far away now is breaking my heart almost every day. But now she's here, that's the most important thing. She also hugs me tight and says: "I missed you so much! So, so much!" "I missed you too!", I answer, then we let go of each other. I take her bag and take her hand, pulling her to my car. I stow her bag in the trunk, then we both get in the car. I start driving and turn on some music. As always we sing along loudly and I really feels like she has never been gone. As we arrive in Erl's and my apartment we put her stuff into the guest room. Then she exclaims: "I'm so damn hungry. Can we eat something? Something really unhealthy with loads of fat or sugar? That would be perfect right now." I laugh loudly and answer: "Of course. What do you prefer: pizza or pancakes with Nutella? Or what about pizza as main dish and pancakes as dessert?" Cami's eyes start shining and she immediately goes for pizza as main dish and pancakes as dessert. Together we move to the kitchen where we start cooking whilst having some alcohol free champagne. I put the pizzas in the oven and turn around just to see my bestie smile bright. Something about that smile is suspicious and so I ask: "Why are you smiling like this?" Her smile gets even brighter and she answers: "I got something for you." while handing me something she's been hiding behind her back. It's a little box. "Don't worry, I did not pay anything for that.", she says as she notices the weird face I make. I slowly start unwrapping the box and then open it. As I see what inside I am shocked. But it's in a very good way. Inside the box there is a card with two pictures. On the left side there is picture of her and Leo, standing on their balcony in Marseille. The background is beautiful already but the two are even more beautiful. Leo hugs Cami from behind and on both smile bright. Also, I can see that tears fill their eyes, happy tears. And the reason for the smile is in the middle of the picture and on the right side if the card. Her hand is on top of Leo's and on one of her fingers there's a ring. A very gorgeous ring. It's a silver ring with one big diamond on top and a lot of small ones in the sides. "Oh my god, is that...
Are you...?", I say and she nods, still smiling bright. "Yes, we are engaged.", she says. I jump into her arms and shout: "Congratulations girl! I'm so happy for you two! Oh my god!" She laughs and also hugs me. "Thanks, Eve. I'm so happy about it. And I still can't believe it. Like... I, Camila, the weird girl from Buenos Aires, will marry Leonardo Balerdi, the most wonderful guy in the world! That's so damn amazing!", she says and damn, she exudes so much love right now. I'm so happy for her and Leo, they are just a perfect couple and they will be the best married couple in the world! "Oh, by the way, turn the card around. There's something else.", she says happily and I do exactly what she said. On the back of the card there's a little text. "Dear Eve, dear Erling, during our time in Dortmund you two became our closest friends and we wouldn't want to live without you anymore. Your friendship is very important to us and that's why we want to ask y'all something: Erl and Eve, will you two be our wedding witnesses? ", I read. My jaw drops and I stare at Cami for a few seconds before I find my words. "Really?", I gasp and as she nods I add: "Of course I want ro be your wedding witness! Wow, I feel so honoured right now. Come here, chica!" whilst pulling her into a tight hug. My whole body is flooded with happiness and as Erling arrives home and we all have a video call with Leo, telling him that Erl would love to be his wedding witness I am so happy and so proud that I have such amazing friends that are like family to me and Erl.
