Love At First Sight Part Two

Chapter 218 - Christmas Eve

⬛I'll have one last exam next week and therefore I might not upload daily during the next days.⬛

In the late afternoon, after we've been to church, it's time for giving each other the presents. I love that, not because I'm getting some stuff, but because I can see my favourite people really happy. That's just a great feeling and this year, with Gabi's pregnancy, it'll be even more special.
We all get the presents to the living room and then sit down on the sofa. I love how comfortable everyone looks right now. Erl and I are cuddling close, so do Gabi and Jan and Astor and his girlfriend. Jude and Jadon are also cuddling but Norah and Sofie are sitting in between. The four of them are wearing matching ugly Christmas sweaters that Jadon brought and the way they sit there looks like they are a family. Especially as Luna joins them and places her head on Jude's leg. She adores the two Englishmen and she adores the little girls and so she of course can't stay away from them. "Look at Jude and Jadon, they're so cute with your sisters. They'll be great fathers one day.", I say to Erling. He runs his fingers through my hair and then whispers: "Yeah, that's really cute. And I can't wait for them being dads. They seem to be great at that."
A few minutes later the great unpacking begins. It takes a long time because we're so many people but it's fantastic. We all know each other so well that everybody gets the perfect presents. Since it's so much I'll only talk about a few of the things now.
My favourite present is from Gabi and Jan. Gabi knows how much I love ice hockey and that I sometimes call Erling my polar bear and so she bought me the perfect decoration for my office: A polar bear with an ice hockey stock. Also he's wearing a shirt that she knitted herself. It's a Norway football jersey with the name Haaland on the back. With that I have Erk, football and ice hockey in one. I just love it and I know it'll make my office perfect. But the other presents are also great. Especially the one Jadon and Jude made. Okay, it's a present they gave to both Erl and me but I love it! It's a photo album with all the pictures they took of us during the last months. And they really took a lot. I didn't even notice that they took most of them. But those are the best pictures, for example us holding hands during a walk or us kissing whilst cooking or watching a movie. Just some quite intimate moments that we would've never took pictures of. But that makes them so perfect. And on the last two pages is a little present from Norah and Sofie. They drew Erling, me, the whole family and Jadon and Jude. It's such a cute little drawing and so I really can't stop smiling. It's just such a perfect present.
The next fantastic present is the one Jude has for Jadon. He gave Jadon a little box and in this box there was a ring. It's silver and the infinity symbol is engraved on it. Also, on the inside of the ring, there are their initials. J&J. It's a promise ring, like the one Erl gave to me some time ago. And this little ring made and still makes Jadon the happiest. Right now he's looking at a book with Jude and the little girls but every few seconds his gaze wanders to the ring and he smiles at it whilst playing with it. Jude watches him do that and in his eyes there's loads of love.
Suddenly Gabi stands up and says: "Guys, I still have one present. It's mostly for Jan but also for you others." With these words she pulls Jan on his feet. "Ugh, okay, where is it?", he says, totally confused. She smiles and says: "It's under my shirt." Her fiancé raises his eyebrows but then slowly pulls her shirt up. As he sees what's underneath he opens his eyes widely and his jaw drops. He stares at Gabi who's smiling bright and has tears in her eyes and then gasps: "For real?" She nods and Jan pulls her into a tight hug. "We're really having a baby? Really?", he whisoers to make sure it ain't a prank but as she nods again he pulls her in for an intense kiss. Since he said the word baby so quiet that none of the others could understand they're a little confused but as Jan steps aside and they see the sonogram at her belly they understand. Jude is the first one to find his words back. "Oh my god, congratulations!", he says and as Norah asks: "What is this? Why congratulations?" he explains: "Your sister is having a baby. And you're gonna be an aunt. Congrats princess." Now she gets it too. She jumps off Jude's lap and runs to her sister to hug her. Gabi laughed loudly and lifts her youngest sister up to kiss her little face. I just watch the scenery with a big smile on my face. Erling also is very surprised but also very happy about it. "Can you believe it? My sister is pregnant! I'm gonna be an uncle!", he almost shouts. I just smile at him and in this second he understands. "You knew it? You knew it all the time and didn't tell me?", he says and I answer: "Only for a few weeks. And she didn't allow me to tell you. But I still got her the present you would've got her if you had known." With these words I hand Gabi a little package. It's filled with an Erling BVB shirt, a Norway shirt with his name and a BVB romper and a soother, also from BVB, of course. A little Norway hat and some Norway socks complete the set. "Thank you so much, Eve, that's perfect! I think our little one will wear those 24/7!", Gabi says before hugging me. I happily hug her back and smirk at my boyfriend who also is very happy.
