Chapter 220 - We Are Family

As I wake up the next morning and turn around to look at Erling he isn't there which is weird. For normal we cuddle for some time after waking up on free days. I turn around to see if he's somewhere in the room but he isn't. As I turn back to his side of the bed I notice a little letter on his pillow. I take it and open the envelope. Then I read the letter.
"Good morning my gorgeous Queen, I hope you've been sleeping well. I definitely did. Last night was fire and after it I slept like a baby. And after you've been giving me such wonderful moments last night I want to give you some wonderful moments today. Next to the garden door there's a box. Take it with you and come to the lake. I love you.
Erling.", I read and I immediately smile bright. Especially because of the fact that there's a red lip print in the right upper corner of the letter. It's clearly my boyfriend's lips. He must've used one of my lipsticks for that. That's somehow so very cute.
I get out if the bed and put on some clothes. Since we will meet on the outside the clothes are quite thick and warm. Norway is quite cold in winter. I next leave for the bathroom where I brush my teeth and braid my hair so that it's out of the way. Since I don't know what he has planned I have to be prepared for every possibility.
I then go downstairs. Erl's parents, older siblings and their partners are sitting there. They smile at me and say good morning, then I put my jacket and shoes on, take the box and leave the house. I start walking, I know very well where the lake is. I really enjoy the walk through the white winter wonderland. It's very cold but the sun is shining, making the snow sparkle. I really love that about Norway. No matter what season it is, the landscape is always gorgeous. Only the temperature isn't made for me. But since Erling is around most of the time I'm not too cold. He's hot and heartwarming. Perfect mixture I'd say.
After about twenty minutes of walking I arrive at the lake. I can already hear a lot of noise from some distance. I don't only hear Erling, I also hear Sofie, Norah, Jude and Jadon. Then, as I walk around a corner of the forest, I finally see them they all are ice skating. I think that now I know what's in the box Erl left for me.
As Erling notices me he gets to the shore and walks towards me. "Good morning, Kjære.", he says before pulling me in for a kiss. I return it, putting all my love into it, and as we let go of each other I also say good morning. Erl smiles, strokes over my hair and then says: "Put on the ice skates, I wanna skate with you. And we can also play ice hockey a little if you want to, I brought two sticks." I smile bright and kiss him again before doing what he told me to do. Then I also get onto the ice. The first steps on it set my heart on fire again. I just love ice skating and I haven't been doing it for too long. Erl skates towards me and takes my hands. I let him pull me into a tight hug and whisper: "Thank you, Erling. This is really great and you don't know how happy you make me with it." into his ear. He still smiles bright and leans back a little so he can connect our lips. I'm really happy right now. I'm with the man I want to marry one day, his cute little sisters and our best friends and we're doing my favourite sport in the gorgeous nature of Norway. Could I have a better life?
We spend the whole morning ice skating and playing ice hockey and  I have a lot of fun. We all do. Most of the time Erling and I are playing whilst our boys and our girls are dancing on the ice together. They play frozen and hearing Jude and Jadon sing is fun yet very bad for the ears. We all can't stop smiling and laughing and I really couldn't have a better morning. But after a few hours we all are a little hungry. And Erl is even prepared for that. He brought some snacks, some fruits and some protein bars. And he even brought freshly made orange juice. He just really knows what I love. With his arms wrapped around me we sit and eat whilst talking to his sisters and our besties. I'm just so fucking happy right now. We're all a big family and that's just wonderful.
