When Izuku awoke, he didn't understand where he was. Everything was dark, yet there was a sense of vastness to the space he was suspended in. He could see nothing to indicate where the space was, but it felt endless.
Something massive shifted in the blackness, and he knew he was not alone. He couldn't understand it, but somehow he did not feel afraid.
He felt numb.
He wanted his mother, but she was gone.
The rage replaced the numbness. The waves crested, and his mother was not there to save him from the all-encompassing fury he now felt. His serene island was gone, and he was lost in the unseasonably severe and perilous swells.
Endeavor murdered her. He took her from him.
He would pay.
Somewhere in the darkness around him, a woman chuckled.
"My, my. That temper is something else. It's been so long since I've sensed a human with such strong convictions. And to think you hid it so well for all this time." She purred. He didn't know where she was in the inky black. Did she say...human?
"Yes, darling boy. We are not Human. Please, allow me to explain." She paused. He still couldn't tell where she was. Her voice echoed from all around.
"Your world is filled with unique powers of varying strengths. I do not know how or why, but you called out to us when you began to act on your rage after all this time. Your fury at the cruelness of your world was like a beacon to us in this darkness. You've drawn us in like moths to a flame. We are the five Gestorumque. We are harbingers of vengeance, and you have formed a connection to us.
He didn't know what to think. He had power after all this time?
"Not exactly. " Another voice called. This time it was male. It was smooth and had a mischievous quality to it.
"You had that horrid dam up all your life. The right conditions had to be met for us to find you." He explained. Izuku understood. Also, they were definitely reading his mind.
"Are you gods?" he asked. Multiple voices laughed, and he felt a little embarrassed. The woman answered him again this time.
"Not quite, but to your species, we might as well be. We are extremely old and hard to kill. With us at your side, you would be unstoppable."
That brought him to another question. Why would a pack of near godlike entities want to help someone like him? He was a mere speck in the cosmic universe.
A different voice answered this time. It was male but sounded like a young adult. It still had the same echoey quality that the others had.
"It's as Nemesis Prime said, we're harbingers of vengeance. We thrive off of punishing evildoers. Your world is teeming with corruption and filth. Your rage is like ours, so you would be a compatible host for our powers." The young voice said. Honestly, Izuku felt so confused at this point. Nemesis Prime? Host for their powers?
"Maybe we're going a bit fast. We've managed to completely skip introductions. How Impolite of us." The woman, Nemesis Prime? Said.
"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Nemesis Prime, bringer of divine retribution, and leader of the Five Getorumque." She said, and the massive figure of a woman slid out of the darkness. She was frightening and beautiful and must have been at least fifteen feet tall. She was adorned with pitch-black armor that glowed orange in between the smooth plates and wielded a massive pale sword that looked to be made of bone.
