Title: Finding the other wearing their clothes
It has been years since Earthrealm had defeated Shinnok and with that, both worlds have continued to live their normal lives and nothing would go wrong because they would be prepare for another apocalyptical scenario.
Outside of Earthrealm, one of the defenders, residing at the Fire Gardens, lived by one of the powerful clans, also known as the Shirai Ryu. It is also led by Grandmaster Hanzo Hasashi himself who was the sole survivor during the massacre of the clan, including his wife and child.
This had led him to believe he had avenged them, had moved forward from his dark past. Soon he could feel the rays of the Sun had shine on him as he opened his eyes, another day, another more repetitive routine.
Hanzo sat up from his bed, rubbed his sleepy eyes with the palm of his hand and looked around, his partner, Kuai Liang was nowhere to be seen and somehow his clothes had gone as well. He shrugged as he took a shower to freshen up himself and walked to the kitchen, realizing he heard footsteps and music, must be Johnny's device that he lent to Kuai. He took a peek, finally gaining visual on whow as in the kitchen, it was not the other Shirai Ryu members and so on, it was Kuai himself and he sings along to the tune.
"When you get caught between the moon and New York City,
I know it's crazy, but it's true
If you get caught between the Moon and New York City,
The best you can doo
The best that you can do is fall in love". – Arthur's Theme by Christopher Cross
Hanzo could feel himself smile and wanting to jump into the scene as he watched but he wanted to enjoy this much as possible. Kuai moved from one side to the other, from his left was the stove, and to his right was the sink where the dishes were left unwashed, back to the stove was a recipe book beside it. Hanzo then recall how Kuai isn't much of a cooker but he was willing to try and learn. Soon Hanzo leaned on the doorframe, managed to cover the sounds of his footstep and finally be able to notice that Kuai was actually wearing his clothes. As the song ended, Kuai went to grab the device, finding new music to sing to while waiting on Hanzo until, "Did not think you have an annoying voice to be heard at this time of the morning".
Kuai yelped in surprise, almost freezing both the stove and the music device. "By the elder gods, Hanzo! How long have you been standing there?"
"Your sense of awareness is failing, again".
Kuai rolled his eyes, Hanzo shrugged, "Not too long, I'm guessing the breakfast isn't ready yet? What are you making?". Kuai was about to say something but Hanzo already stood beside him, and watched the unfinished preparation, "So, you managed to what? Sing most of the time but you forgot about breakfast?".
Hanzo rolled his eyes, "and including there is a missing case of clothes from my closet, I'm suppose you know where to find them?", Kuai was about to walk away and laugh but Hanzo pulled him closer that their bodies almost touched. Despite being a Cyromancer, Kuai could feel the heat from within him and his heartbeat beating fast. "Well, I suppose to think that you are blind in a way you would ask such a question, Master Hasahi?". Few more seconds and the two quickly turned to the unattended breakfast and laugh over it, regardless all their responsibilities, they had tried their best to somehow be domestic with having two clans to be taken care of and train, and grow.
After breakfast, unfortunately Kuai Liang had to go back to the Lin Kuei Temple before anything chaotic happen, while he was gone and left to Hanzo to his own peace and mind but he soon smiled to himself, remembering what had just happen few moments ago, seeing Kuai wearing his clothes was a sight he would never ever forget.
