Title: Holding hands
After much of convincing, the wielders of Fire and Ice have finally come together and become an alliance that no one expects is that the two men who are from two different clans have come together and be lovers. Started as enemies to avenge their loved ones to being so called Friends and escalated to being more than that.
Shirai Ryu's own grandmaster Hanzo Hasashi also known as Scorpion and his partner, Lin Kuei's own Kuai Liang, inheriting the name Sub Zero. The two had started on the wrong foot as Hanzo had avenged his clan but things took a turn when Quan Chi had misled him to kill the wrong perpetrator Bi Han, now he had witnessed Kuai in battle once and noticed there were differences between the brothers and in order to repay for his mistakes, he vowed to protect Kuai with his life, and surprisingly Kuai did not know this. Kuai had tried numerous times to apologize on behalf of his clan despite he himself was not in good terms with his own home however, he himself vowed to get the Lin Kuei name out of the blood name list. This had led them choosing Kuai to be their Grandmaster, which he admittedly admit that this was a huge responsibility but he was prepare to hold such task in hand.
He was indeed afraid but Hanzo had convinced he could do it and he did. From there, the two had meetings together on growing the alliance, potential warriors, sharing training sessions with one another, all of these had led them to open up more to each other, regardless Hanzo always building walls around people, he somehow let them down when Kuai was there. The two grandmasters then hit off when Hanzo had noticed the extra features of Kuai, from appearance, behavior and he was able to open up to Kuai about his pasts, he was scared that Kuai would look at him differently but he was wrong but relief. Kuai too join in the session, from his childhood, not being enough to anyone even to his own brother, to being abandoned and sent to being cyberize, he did not felt human despite he is one now. As he had mentioned, it was all now in the past, Kuai Liang was now more than enough for his clan, able to help anyone in need, training the Kombat Kids bring happiness because he felt he was in their position at one point and Kuai had Hanzo to be thankful for and now? He was infatuated with the man himself.
Again, here they are after the whole day of having to go through multiple meetings, and then going to more small quests, training sessions and many more throughout in one day, Kuai groaned to himself as he dragged his sore feet to the Shirai Ryu Temple, earning few laughs from the clan members, they were quite fond with Kuai because despite his age and holding the Grandmaster title on him, he sometimes acted like a mere child sometimes. As soon he reached to Hanzo's bed, he flopped himself and sighed in relief.
"Now you know how it feels, tiring isn't it?". Kuai hummed to the pillow as his eyes were closed, leaving Hanzo chuckled to himself, "Don't worry, once you're at my age, those bones of yours be cracking and you'll be having grey hair before me". Kuai, with all the remaining strength he had managed to throw one of the pillows nearby and threw it to Hanzo. Hanzo caught it and held it like it was nothing and laid beside his partner.
He could see how tired Kuai is, looked like he was already going to a deep sleep then something had come to his mind as he reached out the vacant hand of the cyromancer and held it, it was surprisingly warm despite the man who had Ice as his powers. It balanced out Hanzo's fiery flames, and he smiled, so delicate yet rough from all the fighting he had endured, tracing few small scars on the wrist. Lastly, before joining in the slumber, he had bring the same hand to his face, laid a small kiss and held it very dearly.
