Title: Am I too late?

"Return to Earthrealm. Tell the others we have found him, we deploy as soon as I return".

"Are you certain Kharon will aid us?"

"No, but he's our best chance". Kuai sighed, "are you certain you will be okay alone?". Hanzo blinked, "Do not worry, I will return as soon as I can".

Of course Kuai would ask such question but he sense that something bad would happen and excluding his clinginess, he was indeed worried. Hanzo walked up to the younger man, placing his hand on the shoulder, proving a small warm comfort. "I know the time may not be on our side but you are worried about me, are you?"

Kuai nodded, "I have a bad feeling about this, I should stay with you, we'll deploy together".

"Kuai, I know you should but we could use reinforcements and do not worry, I will return in one piece. No matter what happens, I will come back for you as always". The Cyromancer did not want to argue so Kuai slowly nodded before the two then exchanged their loves for each other and pray for their safety he turned and claimed Kharon. Once there he was soon encounter none other than his past self. He was indeed angry and Hanzo made himself sighed, "Make sense why others had point out his so called anger issues".

The two engaged in battle with Hanzo winning, hew knew himself, hoping his past self just gets what he said and may aid them in battle against Kronika. AS the two reconcile, Hanzo, the present Hanzo already sensing danger when he turned around, he could feel himself getting stabbed. It had to be D'Vorah, thinking she was dead, once he had freed himself. Finally kicking in, "poison". Dropping to his knees as he felt every inch of body starting to shut down when his past self grabbed him, afraid that when he has his guard down, "Tell me how to help you?".

Past Scorpion said as he tried to supposedly help, Hanzo then groaned as he struggled to breathe right now. "I'll get...us there. Find Kuai Liang and..Raiden". Nodding as his answer, both soon engulfed by the fiery warped.

At The Fire Gardens~

"Your Shaolin masters, they're ready?"

"They will fight until the last man". Both Kuai and Liu Kang walked side by side discussing on the plan that will take place soon enough, "That is likely what it will take".

"There will not be a fight if Kharon does not help us. Is there any word from Grandmaster Hasashi?". That question alone was enough for Kuai to gain more anxious, it felt almost na hour since the two separated. He shook his head no, "No, if we do not hear soon, I will return to the NetherRealm".

When all of a sudden, a fire warped tornado appeared and it was Scorpion, and Hanzo, being supported by his past self. "Get Raiden". Kuai immediately sprinted towards him, "Hanzo, what happened!? Did you do this?". Scorpion shook his head no, "D'vorah had stabbed him poison". Kuai then lifted up Hanzo, carrying him on his back. Scorpion wanted to help but clearly Kuai had him right now. Hanzo could feel his lungs were tightening by the moment and whoever this person was carrying him, it was cold, Kuai? Had to be him. "Kuai?", Kuai did not mean to ignore but indeed every second counts. Once he had laid Hanzo down with Raiden and Liu Knag rushed to them both.

Kuai had to step away from the crowd to do not be a disturbance. Soon he had left the scene, rarely does it but he prays for Hanzo's life and safety. More and more voices in his head started to cloud over him. Questions such as "Am I too late? Should I have not left him in the first place?"

All these starting to create headaches and he was not emotionally stable as his hands started to create frost. Indeed anyone would take note that Cyromancy works based on emotions, without realising there was a hand placed on his shoulder.

"Huh?"

It was Scorpion, shrugging away as he looked down, "What do you want?"

"Your hands, are you in distress?"

"Is it not obvious enough?". He then moved a bit when Scorpion looked like he wanted to sit, "What is the relationship between my future self and a Lin Kuei such as yourself?"

Kuai rolled his eyes, "You might not understand but the both of us had started on a wrong foot as you can tell, I was on my path to avenge my brother but soon realizing it was in vain and I decided to reform the Lin Kuei to restore their honour and here we are, restored both clans and made and alliance".

Scorpion felt the genuine emotions of the Lin Kui man, "I see that my future self took a liking on you, despite I am loyal to Harumi but you..are indeed different".

"What are the differences?"

"You're a child". Kuai stood up, "What!? I am not a child, I am almost the same age a you are right now". The Spectre sighed, "Whatever Child, so if this is the Fire Gardens, what did I-"

Soon Liu Kang had called out Kuai on Hanzo's condition and thank goodness Hanzo was saved just in time. Kuai practically almost jumped on Hanzo when he heard the other whimpered in pain, "I apologize, I was.."

"Told you I would return", patting his head, Kuai almost like a cat, Hanzo swore he heard purring from his lover. "I take that you are getting along with my past self?"

Kuai smacked Hanzo's knee, "Bastard, did not think you were this frustrating to be with before. I would have send him back to the NetherRealm for calling me an absolute child". Soon Kuai had to leave for battle and Scorpion scoffed by Hanzo's side, "You and a Lin Kuei, unbelievable".

Hanzo hummed, "You'll understand why".

"Permission to touch him as I please".

"DO NOT!"
