Ever since the counter a week ago, Hanzo was soon back in action to find Kuai Liang and his hell spawn of a brother referencing on anything from the last location, anything to save his Kuai Liang right now, but knowing he was alive, he was filled with determination, however something bothered him.
The interaction between the two, Kuai acted as if he did not remember Hanzo, why was that? Did he not recognize him? Was it amnesia? The word floated in his head, and him with Bi Han makes it more tragic to think about. Bi Han may have or could have been brainwashing Kuai Liang with his twisted truths in having to turn against Hanzo.
Despite the amount of time spent, almost a month or two, the special forces along with the Kombat kids, Hanzo included were on the route to one of the known locations Kuai and Bi Han would be. Risking of teleporting may cause more difficult situation, however, the moment he stopped by the entrance, Hanzo lost his footing, and fell into a portal below. It didn't take long before he was on the ground, looked around, he must be inside.
He could hear the commotion of attacks from outside, this is must be the way Bi Han intended to separate him from the group. He couldn't finish those thoughts when he was shot with ice from his back. "Playing dirty Kuai Liang?"
"Says the man who brutally massacred my brother and the whole Lin Kuei Clan". Kuai was in his territory now, Hanzo does not have a chance if he doesn't adapt to the environment surrounds him. The pyromancer scoffed. "That's what your idiot brother would want you to hear, then you must be a complete fool to believe him". Kuai creating Ice from his hand and point it to Hanzo's direction.
"Keep talking like that and I would have freeze you and shatter you to pieces, even your hellfire would not save you anymore".
Hanzo summoning his own sword, engulfed in flames, "Prove it and I will accept defeat". Soon the two clashed to an ice versus fire battle, opposite of each other. While the others were distracted by Noob Saibot, as according to plan of separating Hanzo and the others so that Kuai could finish him off.
The former spectre already had Kuai surrounded by his flames, trying to talk it out with the younger man but it has come to a vain so Hanzo would have to force feed Kuai memories, hoping anything that could help bring Kuai to his senses. Without realizing Kuai was already behind him and had ice shards stabbed him in the back, no time to react, Kuai pushed his head down to the ground.
"Time to die, Hanzo Hasashi. You will pay for the deaths of my family and clan". Kuai having Hanzo laid on his back, grabbing by Hanzo's throat and started punching his face. Hanzo couldn't move, he did not realize Kuai had him frozen to the concrete floor and immobilized, oh to die by the hands of his lover. He could barely see anything from the swelling of his face and the repeating attacks of Kuai's hands. Was this it? Could he not save Kuai at this point, was he losing the man he had love the most again?
Kuai raised his fist one more time, hoping this would finally kill and end Hanzo Hasashi and that was when he had heard it? HE was sure his heart had stopped for a moment. The atmosphere suddenly changed, it was silent, the ice filled room started to melt.
"Snowflake".
That moment onwards, his brain, it starting to hurt it almost felt like torture when he gripped it and from there, the sudden waves of so many memories had crashed almost immediately on him. From his earliest childhood, being taken away from his mother by his abusive father. Bi Han being so cold towards him. Days of training, meeting Smoke, More Abuse. Bi Han's death and his vengeance towards Scorpion. Soon he was being cyberized and the things he do for both Shao Kahn and Quan Chi.
Reuniting with Scorpion, no, Hanzo, made peace between both clans and from there they were more than just an alliance, partnership but they became partners with romantic intentions, and the second massacre happened, the amount of casualties, and then the trip.
Hanzo was already feeling his icy restrains melted as he tried regaining his vision and he could hear Kuai was struggling over something but he could already tell his emotions were nowhere stable and then having enough energy to lift up himself and stood back from the other man who was in pain, Hanzo did take note over how Kuai when he would be emotionally unstable, his cyromancy could kill him. Kuai Liang already started to scream in pain, the headaches, his skull could crack open by now, more and more jumbled up memories were hurting him, he doesn't know which is real anymore.
Ice were already forming around his hands and arms, it was not him controlling it, he was already losing control of his own powers, that was when he heard someone called out for him but he was too panicked at this point, he could not do anything.
"Kuai Liang! Snowflake! Please, you're going to freeze yourself, please, stop, it will be alright, I'm here.". Hanzo reaching out to him, managing to lift his hand, radiating enough heat to help melt Kuai's ice. Then Hanzo grabbed him by the shoulders as he pulled him in to an embrace.
"Just let go Kuai, I am always here for you". Kuai's agonizing scream filled the room as he kept making sure the ice was not going to kill them both, Bi han already on his way when he heard, stopped midway before having second thoughts. For sure he didn't continue, he went away and the outside became clear of Bi Han and his Saibots. Only left was the cold air blowing from the inside.
"Kuai Liang?". Kuai nodded as he didn't pull away from the embrace, "Thank you...for saving me". Hanzo nodded, letting out a sigh of relief, it was finally over and then Kuai was back to his arms again. On the other hand, Kuai couldn't look at him, the amount of guilt washed over him, soon the others had come in and helped the two. Hanzo indeed needed his nose to be straighten back but overall the bruises would heal soon enough.
He had sit out by the Shirai Ryu garden with Kuai wrapping his arms around him from behind. The two had talked it out over their thank you for each other and Kuai told the story how genuine it felt when Bi Han was there for him, could he really believe that or not? But one thing he could tell was it was a temporary paradise because he could at least know how Bi Han would be if there would be no Lin Kuei or the day their father would taken them to be ruthless and cold. However, it would not have led to him meeting Hanzo and having Hanzo as his lover right now.
