Her head shot up from the other girl's lap and she shoved herself into the corner of the carriage as far away from them as physically possible. It was the feeling of flesh beneath her cheek that stunned her breath out of existence.

It burned. Not like it usually did. It was a pleasant burn, but her brain at that moment couldn't differentiate it. Burn was burn. Burn meant touch. Touch meant danger. Touch meant reliving the worst days of her life.

"Katrina I-."

Cyzarine shook her head sharply, silencing Alina's next words as she pulled her knees to her chest, trying to make herself as small a possible. Her body ached and her arm still burned.

Claustrophobic with a shit tone of haphephobia thrown in there had Cyzarine debating whether she should hold her breath till the world faded from view and face that wretched door again, or give herself a concussion by banging her head against the carriage.

She instead hid her hands between her thighs and licked violently at her skin. Keeping herself distracted with the burn.

She flicked her pale outside to see that it had begun to grow dark. She'd been out of it for hours. She looked down at herself and frowned, a kefta was draped over her shoulders, the blue fabric was intricately designed and warm. Cyzarine reacted as if it had burned her.

She yanked off her body and threw it to the floor with a hiss.

"Katrina-."

"Absolutely not."

"You're freezing, put it back on," Alina scolded Cyzarine who was very much cold, but the girl did not care.

She would not wear a kefta, she would never willingly wear one. She's shamed her people enough, putting a kefta on would put that last nail on the coffin she buried them in.
