I really should stop setting time limits for myself since I never seem to be able to get chapters out within them, I guess for now things are going to be a little inconsistent so thanks for sticking with me.
Hope you enjoy!

As Remus stepped up to the loud train in front of him for the first time since starting Hogwarts he was going to miss home. His Mother had gotten a sitter to stay home with his siblings so she could drop him off, and he was happy she had. Things were slowly beginning to shift for them, it had been a very peaceful summer and he couldn't have hoped for more. Though he was excited to see his friends again he couldn't help but think back to the large garden in their backyard with his sisters running around them, the small smile his mother now showed him that meant they were finally starting to heal.

With these thoughts in mind he turned his head to have one last look at her, she didn't offer a smile but a small wave was sent his way that he cherished happily as he stepped up the stairs to get to their usual compartment.
The usual busy energy around him made things on his mind get scrambled, counting the doors around him before finding what he was looking for and stepping inside.

James grinned as he looked up from where he sat flipping through a sort of magazine with moving pictures on the front that Remus didn't recognize. All that was thrown out the window when he was tackled in a bear hug from said boy, smiling as he felt the sides of his glasses smack him in the face.
"Wow you got tall, where's the short scrawny kid we met two years ago?" James asked, stepping back and slapping his back in a friendly way.

"He's still lanky, just stretched up." Peter added, smiling up from where he sat with a liquorice wand in his hands. "Hey Moony, good summer?" He asked between bites before offering him one of the sweets. Remus took one before shoving his trunk above him clumsily and taking a seat across from them bother, nibbling on the stick as he nodded.
"Best so far, how about you guys?" He asked, watching as James took a rather large breath before letting it out in a rant about a new broom he'd gotten from his dad.
"It's the top model out right now, you should see how fast it goes I almost fell off the first time out of shock!" He said quickly, dropping the magazine to the floor with a forgotten thump.

Peter groaned as if this was the seventh explanation he'd gotten that day and bent over to search in his bag for something, Remus was sure he didn't actually need anything but just simply didn't want to face the obsession James had developed.
"And then I was like 'whoosh' and then like 'swoop' and I-" James stoped his sentence short as the compartment door was pulled open once again, standing in the door way was none other then a very tried looking Sirius Black.

"Sirius!" Remus said, voice cracking slightly half way through. The very obvious crush he had slammed back into him with full force as he was met with high cheek bones and smooth dark hair, his shoulders had broadened and he stood in a straight practiced way that made Remus's stomach clench.

Sirius smiled, it looked a little more strained then usual but other then that it was a very Sirius smile.
"Hello, sorry for the delay." He greeted, gracefully swinging his bag above like Remus had and plopping down next to him.
James smiled a wide smile, all but flinging himself over on top of his best friend with a dramatic yelp.

"Where have you been this summer? You haven't been answering any of us." James asked, as soon as he'd gotten his fill of attacking his friend.
"No where... just had a rough summer." Sirius answered. Swallowing uncomfortably he grabbed an elastic and pulled it around his hair to hang in a low ponytail, something Remus thought was much to attractive to be allowed.

"What do you mean?" Peter asked, slowing his chewing on the sweets in his hand. Sirius looked away nervously before clearing his throat and shifting in his seat. Something wasn't right, Sirius was very well known for his carefree attitude and none worried mind. Something was off and Remus didn't know what.
"Hey mate, it's fine. Talk to us when you're ready." James said gently and Remus silently thanked Merlin that their friend always seemed to know what to say.
