It's not a big deal

The rest of the week went by the same in Defence Against the Dark Arts. Remus was called on over and over and was put on the spot more then was normal.
Worst of all Professor Dorbrogost seemed to have it out for werewolf's. But Remus absolutely refused to believe that this was why he was getting picked on.

'Normally we don't cover magical creatures such as I am about to teach you guys in second year, but since we have been going over the basics for weeks with what should be enough for you to pass your finals I believe we should cover some of the more dark creatures so you know what to expect for the next year."

Dorbrogost walked around the classroom quietly with a look of what one could say was anger sitting on his facial features, it looked odd and out of place on someone so young.

A few nights before after they had realized that all this nonsense was continuing the marauders had sat down in a circle on the floor to discuss why remus was being bullied so badly if it was 'against the teacher code or whatever' in Sirius's words.
They had ruled it down to a few facts, one, he was a git and might have done this to anyone he didn't fancy on the first meeting. Two was that he could be trying to expose Remus, though they weren't sure why. Remus's face had healed over nicely from the unfortunate night at the potters and now had only faint looking white scars that littered his face, the only deep one remaining and blunt was running across his cheek and the bridge of his nose, finishing down his neck on the right side.
These scars were explained to the other students through James Sirius's... story's, so it wouldn't work to expose him on his appearance.
Remus has commented while they were discussing this that it was useless and didn't even have a point because the professor wasn't even focusing on the way he looked. They had mumbled something about it being important and moved on afterwards.
The third and most ridiculous idea they had was that he was sent to Hogwarts by the ministry and told to find out which student there was a werewolf.
Remus has had nightmares ever since.

But now while they sit in class they focused on the way the professor moved around, the way he called on remus and the way the whole class was being forced already to dive into the bigger creatures that students don't usually get to until third or fourth year. They were stumped.
"I expect a twenty page essay on vampires by the end of the week, no exceptions. Dismissed."
Professor Dorbrogost told us as he ushered us out rather fast, slamming the door behind us.
"That wasn't a very cheerful class.."
Sirius commented, scowling at the door that had almost closed on his hair.
"Maybe he was having a bad day."
Remus suggested, already walking away back to their dorm as that was the last class of the day.
"Everyday is a bad day in that class for you."
Peter told him as the other three jogged up beside remus who they had learned was a very fast walker.
Huffing, Remus stoped and turned on his friends so they were face to face.
"Alright listen. I know what's happening is not ideal but it's really not that big a problem. I don't mind! I'm used to it alright? So just... drop it."
Remus said, his face hardening until he turned around and speed walked back to the dorm, going straight to his bed and pulling the curtains around himself so the others couldn't see him.
Silently. He let himself feel the sadness that has been sitting on his shoulders for the past few weeks, the feeling of being picked on like this had worn him down, not because it necessarily bothered him but because it reminded him of his father.
His father had been much worse but when the abuse was just starting it was more gentle like this.
Just like this.

It didn't take long until the sniffling sounds from Remus's bed had stoped and the others let out a sigh as they recognized the sound of their friends sleeping breath.
Gathering together they stared at the floor, unsure of what to do or say.
"Do you think he's going to be ok?"
James asked, looking up from his spot on the hardwood floor he had suddenly found very interesting.
"Yeah he'll be fine... eventually."
The silence continued, turning more comfortable as time went on, they soon began laughing as the others did something funny, or tried to break the tension.
And soon they were back to their usual selves, laughing and playing, and almost able to forget things were so wrong right now, and so not normal for a usual year at Hogwarts.
Little did they know that more was soon to come.
A lot more.

Sorry for the short chapter this time, I'm camping but I'll be home on Monday so I should be able to get the next chapter out next Saturday like I'm supposed to!
