George stood in the doorway with an ill natured expression, shifting his weight side to side. He wasn't sure what he was expecting from that conversation but it wasn't that.

Sharing serious personal information and secrets was something they'd have to get used to but George felt dumb for assuming the worst when he saw Techno passing a second time. He was also baffled how they were completely under the radar--how George was completely unaware of what was going on. It wasn't like they'd disconnected or drifted from each other, maybe he just wasn't paying enough attention to his friends.

"I'm sorry for prying Dream--I mean I wish I would've known sooner, but I'm sorry." His eyes darted around the area, he was completely avoiding eye contact like if he even caught a glimpse of him, he'd explode.

"Nah, you had complete reason to, sorry for not telling you sooner."

Dream pulled George into a hug that he quickly returned, their height would've let Dream rest his chin perfectly on top of Georges head if he hadn't just looked up to Dream. With the same thought and at the same time the two went in for a quick and sweet kiss.

After pulling away they stayed close, foreheads pressed together and noses barely touching.

"You wanna know something?" Georges voice fell to a whisper as he spoke.

"Shoot."

"I'm like, starving right now."

Dream cracked a smile, "Guess what."

Georges silence answered for him.

"I know a great diner we can go to."

As if it had been forever since, they separated from being so close to each other, heading back inside. "At 2 in the morning really?" He sounded like he was excited but not excited enough to get his hopes up, not many places had 24/7 service in their town. This seemed to becoming a routine, going out to eat or ordering food despite the fact he had a full fridge and full cupboards. Maybe it was because Dream was bad at cooking and George never had the energy too--or maybe they just had a spending issue.

"Yeah, all day and all night service." Once both were inside they were already getting their shoes on, excited to get out of the house, something they used to do often as a trio. They really needed to see Sapnap.

George, instead of following Dream out the door, went over to his end table to grab his wallet, then would he meet back with Dream who was waiting by the door to keep it open for George. They walked out together and dead lined for Dreams car--you never know what or who could be lurking outside at this time, even for 2 grown men, the unknown of that freaked them out a little bit too much to not play it safely.

This time, George even directed himself to the right side rather than left, he'd come to the conclusion it was just his nerves going crazy last time, which led to him getting all mixed up.

"Dream, what diner is it?"

"Hemingways, why?"

George hummed and didn't answer his question. He was hoping it'd be a good bit away, and 15 minutes was good enough, which is why he asked. He'd always been one for loving car rides, unlike Dream, he could fall asleep in any position in any car. Dream on the other hand didn't find that so easy. He'd move around a million times before he found a comfortable position and just as he did, a bump would ruin it for him.

George rested his chin on the palm of his hand and gazed out the window. Trees, fences and road signs all looked blurry at their speed, but the moon and stars above looked beautiful standing out against the dark blue sky. Dream cranked up the music, his fingers tapping along on the steering wheel to the beat.
