It was September 16th, 10:26 PM when Sapnap got the worst call of his life.

He could remember it so clearly, it was so vivid in his mind. His phone had started to ring when he was around the campfire with a few friends and friends of friends, the number was unknown but he picked up anyways.

There and then, he was informed his best friend was dead. His world crashed down on him all over again. Nothing eased the pain, especially not hearing it was from his own hands and it happened not long after he left that day. He blamed himself for not seeing the warning signs, for leaving when George offered for him to stay.

When he couldn't help the breakdown that came over him, all but one person stared or walked away. Sapnap didn't know who this person was or why they were so keen to find out what had happened and how they could help, but they sat there with Sapnap, holding him in their arms and letting him cry his heart out.

He later found out his name was Karl, and that he was the sweetest and most bubbly people he'd ever met. Karl had aspects that reminded him of both of his best friends, and the last thing he expected was to fall in love with him. Since the night of the campfire, Karl helped Sapnap take care of himself. He was a warm shoulder to cry on and an ear to talk to, they spent more time together too. Not only to help Sapnap get over everything he'd been through but for each others company as well.

Life healed a little bit more each day he spent with Karl. He was a sunray in the storm, a quarter among pennies and a stroke of paint on a dull canvas. Soon enough Karl moved in with Sapnap and even got to meet the two cats he took care of--Patches and Cat.

Sapnap never got a chance to introduce Karl to his friends, but he did buy him a purple bracelet, to match his orange one and the yellow and blue bracelets that hung from his car mirror.

There was so much in his life he dedicated to Dream and George. The biggest of them was streaming, something they'd talked about for as long as he could remember. They shot for the stars and weren't able to reach them, so Sapnap reached them for them both.

He became a huge streamer and shared their stories and when he blew up he chose to donate half of his profit to suicide awareness and drunk driving prevention programs.

..

"Are you sure you don't want me to come with you?"

Sapnap nodded. "I think I can do this alone, thank you, Karl."

Sapnap got out of the car with two bouquets of flowers in his hand. He took a deep breath, this would be the first time he'd visited them since they passed. He'd wanted to sooner, but he found it was too hard, he couldn't bring himself to until now.

He slowly approached the side by side graves, setting the tiger lillies in front on Georges and the roses in front of Dream, their favorites, before sitting down.

Before even starting to speak Sapnap looked behind him to see Karl in the car, looking to his lap. He felt okay about talking since there was no one watching him, but he wasn't fully sure of where to start.

"Well, I made it, living because you couldn't, y'know. I met a guy," He paused, letting himself smile a bit, "His names Karl, he has the personality of a damn puppy but I love him, you guys would too."

"Its been really hard without you both, you know how we always talked about getting famous from streaming? You won't believe it, I really did it. I just wish you guys were here, but I like to think you're happy somewhere in paradise being all smoochy and gross with each other, hell, maybe you're finally in the stars. I don't know.."

A few tears fell from the pool that collected in his eyes but he wiped them away when he felt a hand on his shoulder, prompting him to stand up.

Karl looked at him with sad eyes and the two embraced in a hug.

"I really miss them."

"I know you do, I'm sure they were amazing."

"They were."
