George stretched across the bed, his hair was a mess and his hands were over his face as he let out a lengthy yawn. He rolled over in the bed expecting to feel Dream right besides him, asleep or either scrolling on his phone. But, his body wasn't there to stop George from almost rolling off the bed. While he did catch himself, it definitely woke him up. And the sad thing? This wouldn't have been the first time.

His eyes took a moment to adjust to the sudden brightness in his bedroom but once he was able to fully open his eyes he noticed a note in absence of Dreams place and it read in chicken scratch writing,

"went out with sap, tried waking you up. call me" and in the corner of the ripped paper was a doodle smiley face and heart. The small doodles were enough to make George smile, and though it wasn't really anything, George found it endearing Dream chose to leave a note rather than a text to wake up to. It definitely didn't beat waking up next to him but it was still sweet, and to be fair he couldn't ask him to sit in bed and do nothing while George slept.

After putting the paper down he began to search for his phone--which always managed to get lost in his blankets and sheets. He patted around and climbed under the blankets only to find his phone under his pillow--which from experience should've been his first place to check.

It was cold to the touch as George tapped in his pin, unsurprisingly, he didn't have too many notifications besides a few messages from friends and some social media notifications. He ignored them for now and opened the phone app, and since he'd recently called Dream, it wasn't hard to find his contact.

Before hitting the call button George took a second the glimpse at the contact photo.

It was a photo George had secretly gotten at the fair. Sapnap, Dream and George were on the top of the ferris wheel. The sky was dark and cloudy, but the lights of all the rides and sellers below and above them made everything 10x prettier. They looked so happy in the moment George snapped the photo, managing to get a clear photo of Sapnap and Dream messing around.

He forced himself to look away and bring his mind back to the present. He hit call and the phone rung out, George waited and just as he was about to hang up, Dream had answered him.

"Good morning--afternoon," Dream greeted, a smile audible in his voice. George could also hear the faint voice of Sapnap in the background, what he could make out from his words were, "Hi George!" It reminded George of when he was just a little kid, shouting hi to his grandmother who'd be on the phone with his mom.

George laughed, a sleepy rasp still stuck in his throat.

"Hey, out with Sap from what I take it?"

"You know it, after you wake up a bit do you wanna come chill? We're just at the creek in the park."

George pondered for a moment before he had an idea. "Nah, theres somewhere I actually have to run and I don't want to keep you, have fun with Sapnap."

Dream must have done something to hush Sapnap, because the line went dead silent except for the one maybe two people passing in the back before he started up again. "Alright, see you later?"

"Yeah, cya then Dream, bye." George ended the call and set the phone down besides him, already getting out of bed and letting his blanket fall onto the floor. He had the perfect plan for the rest of his day. Since it was only around 3:30 PM, he wanted to go to the mall. Maybe he'd pick something out for Dream and Sapnap and get lunch there, check out a new store and just spend the rest of the nice late summer day shopping.

First thing first, he had to get ready, brush out his bed head hair and order an uber because he sure as hell wasn't walking the hour walk.
