The day arrived.

My friends wished me luck then left for the expedition under the leadership of Hanji. I was sad they won't be present in the ceremony. Then I reported to  Erwin and saluted. 

"Ah Mikasa, right on time" Erwin remarked.

"Listen I need your help."

"Yes? How may I help you?" I asked.

"You know of Levi's injury."

"Yes"

"He has persisted to come to the ceremony." Erwin informed.

"Why? Shouldn't he rest?"

"I know, but we both know how Levi is."

"Right."

"The ceremony will begin at 5pm and I will have work till then.

So I was thinking, if you stay with Levi till then. 

Being with you would mean he'll be under good care.

Plus he may help you with your speech."

I was going nuts inside. Staying with Levi. Till 5. Plus taking good care of him. The person who beat Eren, whom I hated. Arghh.

"Please its a humble request from me Mikasa" Erwin requested.

"Ok, I'll do it." I said half heartedly, hiding my face behind my scarf so he can't read the frown expression on my face.

"Thank you Mikasa. Thanks a lot." he replied.

I was lost in my thoughts when I reached Levi's room. I was planning what should I do today.

Take care of Levi. 
To not let him anger me.
Ask for help in speech.

Appears so simple, right? But it isn't. And when its related to Levi. It will never be.

"Oi Brat!"

I looked around. I was in Levi's room. He was in shorts and was shirtless. His chiseled abs were visible again. I looked upon his face. As usual frowning.

"What are you doing here?"

"Commander Erwin told me to be your in charge"

"Erwin. Tch" he was annoyed.

"No need of your help. I'll do it all on my own."

"What Heich- Levi?"

"He kept you as my in charge  right?"

"Yes"

"So that we both help each other with our speeches, since that four eyes would be busy in the expedition."

I was crying internally now. I don't want to help this man. I respect him but that doesn't mean I have forgiven him. But now, orders are orders.

With a sigh I said, "Sorry Levi, an order is an order."

He sighed as well. "Fine. Just don't disturb me."

"I may disturb you. Erwin said to take care of you."

"Tch. I don't need anyone's care." Levi replied with slight tone of fury.

"May I ask you the reason Levi?" I asked suppressing my anger.

"No. You may sit here and prepare for the speech while I complete my daily chores." Levi ordered.

"Fine." I replied.

I sat on the couch in his room. Levi stood up and went to his cupboard where he kept his broom and mop.

"Are you going to clean this room in this condition as well?" I asked.

"Yes" he replied coldly.

"May I help you in this? I am getting bored plus this speech stuff is boring."

He thought for a while.

"Alright. Have this."

"Thank you Levi." I replied with a slight smile.

It took us an hour to complete. I was exhausted. Cleaning rooms with Levi is always exhausting.

"Here have this." He passed a cup of Black tea.

"Thank you Levi." I took it.

I watched him drinking tea in his usual style. Holding the cup from rim instead of its handle.

I was smiling and I myself didn't know that.

"Why are you smiling?" He asked.

"Nothing."

I was blushing behind my scarf.

"I have finished, shall we start with the speech?"

He finished his tea. "Come let's begin."

It took us an hour or two to complete. I looked at the time. 4:30pm.

"Oi Mikasa. Get ready. We have to leave soon." Levi reminded.

"Yes sir."

I left for my room.

I sighed. Finally I'm back to room. Till now everything's under control. Thank god Levi didn't disturb me much. I shall get ready and leave.

I wore my usual Survey Corps uniform, with my green cape with the wings of freedom on the back. I saluted myself to myself in the mirror.

"I am ready"

I went out and met Levi and Erwin.

"Prepared Mikasa?" Erwin asked.

"Yes sir" I replied with a salute.

"Good. Lets leave." Levi said.
