Drunk Levi

"Heichou!? Tell me! Are you drunk!?" I asked Levi in anger. He ignored me and started refilling his glass. I was furious. I just snatched his nearly empty bottle and threw it. 

"Mikasa!" he said in anger tone. "Nothing." he went silent.

His behaviour surprised me.

"Levi Heichou! Why are you drunk!?" I asked. "Please tell me!"

He faced down.

"Heichou, why are you drunk, you shouldn't be drunk this much. You know this isn't good for health. Since when you started drinking!?" I was lecturing him and he stood silent looking to the floor.

I was so pissed off I pulled his face upwards. To my shock, he was crying.

Levi. Humanity's Strongest Soldier. The person who hardly smiles, always wears a frown on his face, mostly stays expressionless. Crying.

"Ackerman!" Levi called me, "Ackerman!"

"Heichou" I said with a shaky voice.

"Leave me be" he ordered.

"But Heichou-" "Leave I said."

"Alright" I said in a low tone, but I didn't want to leave him.

He sat on the floor. "Leave!"

I stood silently.

"Leave me please". Did he said please?

I didn't know what was going on inside me, I hated this man a lot, and now, when I saw him breaking apart. I was dumb. There were any thoughts running in my mind. Suddenly, my body took control. I went forward. In front of him. 

"Why didn't you leave?" Levi tried to be angry.

I just hugged him tight. I don't know what I was doing all I did was just embracing him. I felt my shirt getting wet. Probably Levi broke into more tears.

"I miss them." he said.

"I miss my comrades.

Petra.

Eld.

Oluo.

Gunther.

I miss them all. We were like a family.

We fought together, laughed together, stayed together.

They're all gone."

I just stayed there listening to him. He continued,

"Petra

I know you had feelings for me. The way you looked towards me, the way you cared for me, nobody have ever-" he sobbed.

"You know Ackerman? I cared for her too. But never shown. I was always afraid. Whoever I am close to" he gulps his saliva, "dies".

"That day when we came back, Petra's father met me. He said he didn't met Petra, he straight up came to me. He informed me about Petra's dedication towards me and my squad. He came to ask me to be Petra's groom." I started having goosebumps all over my body. "Little did he know his daughter died" he sobbed.

"Petra"

"I'm sorry."

He pulled me tighter.

"You know Ackerman? that brat, Eren, he reminds me of my old friend.

Her name was Isabel."

I knew who was Isabel but I guess Levi didn't. He explained me whole story of how they met. Then he came to Farlan. Then he narrated the whole story of them joining the Survey Corps and Isabel, Farlan dying.

"You know Ackerman, once in an event, we three were in a band. The song I was singing, I sung in the band."

"I miss you both."

"Since my uncle left me, they were my family. Which I lost that day in the expedition, later meeting my squad, whom I lost again."

I don't know but somehow tears started coming to my eyes. I had a feeling in my heart which forced me to pull Levi to me harder.

I don't know what that feeling was. He too pulled me closer and tighter.

"Speaking of families, I miss my mother." he continued.

My eyes went wide. Mother. Reminded me of my mother. The love, the care, my mom used to give, and the way she died in front of me. All flashed before my eyes.

"Mother, you said that you'll clip my hair when you'll be fine.

You never clipped.

You know Mikasa, I was crying when I was clipping my hair knowing that my mother won't clip them anymore. Since then no one dared to touch my hair." He laughed, a fake laughter then he continued crying like a baby.

"I miss you mom." He said before he was asleep.

Either he let all out or he does this every time, hiding from the world. Today, I saw the face of Levi which might be hidden from the world for God knows how many years.

I picked him up and advanced to his room. It was late night. "Gosh! I have to sleep soon or else I won't be able to wake up early."

I placed him on his bed and sat on nearby chair to rest and absorb what all just happened. What I saw was a dream or not. I was so lost in thoughts, I didn't know when I dosed off to sleep.
