A story about a Survey Corps Soldier and her Captain's Love and War.

"I see." I replied.
We were in the port, ready to board the Flying Boat. We fought many Titans and Jaegerists, followers of Eren. If we follow Levi's Plan, today we are much closer to end this war, i.e, ending Eren. However, we are in a problem. Our Flying Boat's fuel tank is damaged by our former soldier who is now one of the Jaegerists, Floch Forster. He shot at the fuel tank due to which the Boat can't fly. He was about to shoot others when I shot my ODM gear's anchor through his throat, ultimately killing him.
We came after a great war here. Armin, Reiner and Annie all are fully exhausted and can't convert into Titan. When asked, the mechanics told that it would take some time to repair the fuel tank. Meanwhile, in distant, few Colossus were approaching us. Everyone were worried and it was a panic situation.
I saw Hanji going near Hanji and speaking something to him. She shed one tear, which only I noticed. Then she kissed his lips for a minute. Everyone stopped quarreling and started watching her. Then she came to Armin, strengthening herself.
"Armin! You are now in charge, as the 15th Commander of the Survey Corps, lead everyone to victory."
"What are you going to do Hanji?" Armin asked with tears in his eyes, while Hanji equipped herself with Thunder Spears and her ODM gear.
"I am going to hold them." she replied.
"But-" Reiner was about to say something, when she cut him off by saying, "Think of this as your Former Commander's last order."
Everyone was silent.
She grappled and left, while the mechanics repaired the damaged fuel tank. We were all looking closely her moves.

She went and attacked two Titans with her Thunder Spear on their necks, took out her blades and cut one of the Titans' nape. There would've been so heat, how is she bearing the heat. I watched her struggling, holding back my tears. Mechanics announced the Boat is repaired and we must leave at once. One of the soldiers was about to shoot 'Retreat' flare and tell Hanji to come back when we saw her burning.
The heat was so extreme that her clothes started burning. Suddenly, Armin, being the new Commander ordered everyone to board on the boat, and we took off.
After taking off, we saw her burning.

Armin started crying, but he saluted the Scout salute in honour of her. Seeing him doing so, everyone present on the boat saluted.
Suddenly, I sensed someone behind me trying to peek out of window. I turned to see it was Levi. He was silently watching Hanji's body's ashes.
"Now you know more need to worry about them looking on you. You are with them Hanji." he spoke softly, only I heard him.
I turned and saw him turning and going. I was following him. I was a bit annoyed. He woke up, saw his friend dying, and he just walked off. She just sacrificed herself for us, for humanity, and for him, and he, he doesn't cares.
"If you want to say something, say it fast, instead of following me." Levi told to me.
I begun, "Don't you feel anything? Hanji was your dearest friend, she died in front of us, you too saw her ashes, and yet you moved away like it was nothing. If she was here, I swear I would've told she loved wrong person."
He listened silently. "Follow me" he replied.
We walked till where we stored food items. He took out some water, tea and started making Black Tea. I was getting irritated, however, I stayed patiently with an emotionless face. After completing, he sat on a chair. He told me to sit. I sat, giving him a glare.
"You know, sometimes I get strange dreams, which I myself don't know why I get." he said while sipping his tea. Then he asked, "For how long I was away?"
I replied, "For three days." in very irritated tone, to which he smiled.
His smile shocked me. He smiled?
"While I was out, I was with them. My friends, fallen squad, comrades, Erwin, Petra." I don't know, suddenly he grabbed all my attention when he mentioned Petra. I couldn't sense anything around, except for Levi and his talks.
"I was with them. I apologised to them. I told them I have avenged them, that I miss them.
Suddenly, I heard Hanji's voice saying that there's a situation and she is about to sacrifice herself if required.
I wanted to come back, but failed. Then I heard her asking whether our fallen comrades are watching us or not. I replied yes, I am with them.
I don't know how she heard me, she replied, that she can watch on me as well like them after she dies.
She knew she's dying."
Tears started forming in my eyes. Every moment spent with her since we joined were flashing before me.
Levi finished his tea, then said, "Before waking up, I met her for the last time. She smiled brightly as she used to before all these happened. She called me Levi, for the last time.
It made me happy seeing her happy finally. I guess seeing this my three day sleep ended and I woke up."

I imagined her smiling.
"Mikasa." he begun, "Its good to share things with someone. It makes us feel lighter.
So, I want to share something."
"Yes?" I replied.
"I feel light after talking to you every time." he said, which made my heart ecstatic.
