"That movie was so boring."
"You weren't even watching it. You fell asleep." I laughed.
"That's why I fell asleep." Calum looked at the time and began to panic. "Shoot! It's almost 12. I got to get you home." Calum grabbed my wrist and ran to the car.
"Whoa whoa whoa. Why you in a rush. It's only 11:43."
"Exactly! Almost 12. Your moms going to hate me now."
"Calum. Shut up and calm down. She was joking. Anyways if she wasn't just blame me. Okay?"
"Okay." he took a deep breath.
"Okay." We got in the car and started to drive to my house. We got to the house at 12:08. And my mom was standing outside the door.
"Oh my god. Your mom is right there probably waiting to yell at me. Oh god." We got out and met up with my mom.
"I'm extremely sorry I brought her home so late. Chloe told me it would be okay an that you wouldn't care."
"Way to throw me under the bus kid." I rolled my eyes and then smiled at my mother. Her arms were crossed.
"I told you before 12 didn't I?" She tapped her foot over and over and over.
"Umm mom, Calum is right. I didn't think you would get mad." She stared at me.
"This is a warning."
"Mom it was only 8 minutes. Calm down."
"Again. Super sorry Mrs. Brooks. And if you don't want me to take Chloe out again I understand." You could tell Calum wanted to run away. He looked so scared.
"Was I took harsh?" my mom asked. We both looked at her and then each other in confusion. "I'm new at this. Sorry if I scared you. Oh honey it's okay. Only 8 minutes oh who cares I wouldn't even care if it was an hour later just text me okay."
"Wait what?"
"Usually the parents get super mad at their kid and I wanted to try it out." oh god. "Sorry."
"Phew I really thought you were going to kill me there for second." Calum wiped his forehead.
"No I would never kill you unless you hurt her then we would have a problem but I know you wouldn't do that." My mom look directly in his eyes when she said that. "Okay I'll leave you too for now. Bye!"
"I'm so sorry about that. I had no idea she was going to do that."
"Hey it's fine. Just really thankful she didn't kill me." he put his hand on my shoulder.
"So I'll see you soon?"
"I guess if you want." I raised an eyebrow. "I mean. Yes maybe I'll surprise you for are next date." He smiled.
"Okay sounds wonderful."
"Okay."
