Today was Monday and I was just finishing getting dressed. Today was the day my grandma would be leaving the hospital. I was meeting Calum there.
"Ready mom?!" I shouted from upstairs.
"Yes. I'll be in the car waiting." she said.
I grabbed my phone and other things and ran downstairs. I met with my mom in the car and we left.
When we arrived I ran up to the doors. I didn't see Calum around. I quickly texted him and then checked in.
I walked to the room which my grandma was in. I took a deep breath and opened it. With my surprise Calum was sitting right next to my grandma talking to her.
I stood there confused.
"Oh hello dear. Come inside take a seat. I was just having a conversation with your friend." I nodded and sat down.
"Hi mom." my mom came in after coming up to grandma giving her a gentle hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Looks like you met Calum already."
"Oh yes. He's very sweet."
"Oh thank you." Calum said blushing. We talked for a little longer.
"So mom we have some exciting news!!"
"I'm getting out of here?" She winked at us.
"How did you know?" I asked.
"You people think I can't hear you. I might be old but I'm not deaf." I laughed.
"So do you wanna go now?"
"Whatcha waiting for? Let's get the hell out of here."
So you could say my grandma beat cancers ass. We got her packed and and ready to go. My mom brought her back to our house since she does live with us.
Me and Calum decided to go on a walk.
"Your grandma is very sweet." Calum said.
"Thanks. So how did you get through. Only family can."
"See I was gonna say the boyfriend of your grandmas grandchild but I didn't think that would work."
"It also doesn't make sense." I laughed. He grabbed my head and held it. We swung our arms back and fourth as we were talking.
"So me and the boys have an audition for the Xfactor next week." Calum said.
"Seriously! And your now telling me this."
"Uh yeah. Sorry. It just wasn't a final thing. Like are we ready? Do we want to? Stuff like that."
"Well I hope you make it. Your gonna do amazing."
"Thanks." He said as he scratched the back of his head. "The only thing is the audition is on the other side of the country."
"What do you mean?"
"See we live in New York. It's in California." I was quite.
"How long are you going to be gone for?"
"See it depends if we get through or not. If we don't, we leave on Thursday. And if we do I don't know."
"Well I don't care. I hope you get it. We can still talk to each other. It will be hard but hey it happens." I said.
"Yeah." He gave me somewhat of a smile.
