An Alolan Love Story Book 1 (Starring my OC, Noni)

Chapter 2

Hau and I made our way through the grassy areas of route 1 and a big building with a poke ball on it, stood on the beach.
     "We're here! This is the pokemon lab if you didn't know. You'll love Lillie. She's really shy though but I'm sure that won't stop you!" Hau said proudly and opened the door. Inside was a big tank full of Luvdisc and Corsola. A couch was in the main room and someone sat on the couch. A tall man with a lab coat that didn't hide his abs smiled at our approach.
     "Hau! Nice to see you. Is this Noni?" He asked in a casual but slightly flirty voice. I nodded and Hau introduced me to the man. Turns out it was Professor Kukui, the pokemon professor of the region. Kukui stretched and motioned me to follow him. Hau tagged along and we made our way downstairs. This room was a horrid mess! Boxes littered the floor and computers were turned on. In the middle stood a pedestal with three pokeballs. Kukui reached the pedestal and grabbed the pokeballs. He tossed them and three Pokemon came out.
     "Meet the alola starter Pokemon! This is Litten a proud fire type with a hairball of flames! This is Rowlet, a small grass type owl with a good sense of humor! And finally this is Popplio, a small water type seal who loves to make water balloons! Who will you pick?" I gazed at the three Pokemon and as I reached out to touch Litten. An explosion sounded from outside. We all raced outdoors with the starter Pokemon following. Smoke filled the beach and two very familiar voices sounded through the haze.
      "Prepare for trouble!"
      "And make it double!"
      "To protect the world from devastation!"
      "To unite all people's with in every nation!"
     "To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
      "To extend our reach to the stars above!"
     "Jessie!"
     "James!"
     "Team rocket blast off at the speed of light!"
     "Surrender now or prepare for a fight!"
     "Meowth that's right!" The two villains from Kanto declared. They had been following me since I had the strongest Glaceon in history.
     "Who are those guys?" Hau asked with a small voice. I noted that he didn't have any pokemon while I had practically my whole team.
     "That's Team Rocket and they go around the world stealing Pokemon!" I exclaimed. "If you want a pokemon battle let's go then! Come on out Glaceon!" I threw Glaceon's pokeball and she jumped out of it with a graceful "Glayy". Jessie growled and sent out her Arbok and James sent out Weezing. "Glaceon use Freeze-Dry!" I commanded and she froze the two pokemon in place and shattered the ice. Both fainted instantly Team Rocket growled. James sent out Mariene and Jessie sent out Gourgeist.
     "Gourgeist use Leaf Storm!"
     "Mariene use Pin Missle!" Glaceon dodged their attacks and she knew to use Ice Beam and freeze Gourgeist. It fainted and then Glaceon used Ice Shard and Mariene fainted. Glaceon landed from the sky and Team Rocket had run out of Pokemon to battle with!
     "Team Rocket's blasting off again!" And they disappeared from view. I petted Glaceon and it purred on my leg and I picked her up. She nuzzled into my chest and I chuckled softly. I out her down and turned to meet the stunned gazes of Hau, Kukui and another girl with snow white hair.
     "What?" I asked and Glaceon started to play with the starter Pokemon.
     "That was awesome! How'd you manage to do that? That was insane!" Hau exclaimed and wrapped and arm around my shoulder. "With us two being friends, nothing can stop us! Oh this is Lillie by the way." Lillie nodded to me and squeaked as my Glaceon rubbed her legs.
     "Sorry she's really affectionate." I apologized and returned Glaceon into her poke ball. I heard a faint swishing and turned around. I saw the faintest outline of someone but before I could make it out, the figure vanished. I shrugged and Kukui patted me in the back.
     "That was truly amazing, Noni but now you get to pick your starter Pokemon." I nodded and gently reached for Litten. It sniffed my hand and purred loudly and I picked him up.
     "I'm gonna call you Blaze."
