I opened my eyes to see to big brown eyes staring at mine. I squeaked and jumped back, startled. Hau was laughing so hard that tears streamed down his face.
"You were right Gladion! She does squeak!" Hau said and continued to laugh. I turned to Gladion who was chuckling in his corner and his handsome face was laughing. I had never seen him laugh before and it caused me to laugh. Gladion strode over to me and cracked a smile.
"I gotta say that was hilarious. But also that squeak was kinda cute I must say." A flirty smirk played of his face and I shoved him playfully.
"Don't call me cute, Gladion." I said and winked at him turning his face a rosy shade of pink. Two can play at the flirty game I thought and Hau calmed down enough to breathe evenly. All three of us got dressed and ready and Hau picked out Rowlet and Gladion had his Silvally and I had my Glaceon with me. Lillie was up and had her bag with her and a Alolan Vulpix named Snowy. We all went out the door and smelled the salty air. I hesitantly looked towards Gladion and saw that his gaze was on my face. He became red and turned away.
"So Gladion are you coming with us on our adventure?" I asked and hope fluttered in my chest. He gently took my hand and my face became a light shade of pink.
"Yeah I think I'll come along with you on your adventure. We're doing the island challenge?" I nodded and he smiled. "Sounds like fun. You ready?" I clasped his hand and nodded. Hau smirked at me and I shoved him playfully and we set off into the sunrise.
