An Alolan Love Story Book 1 (Starring my OC, Noni)

Chapter 7

We continued our walk to the pokemon school as that was a great training area and while we were walking I kept noticing Gladion gazing at me and I'd tap him and he'd flinch and pretend he wasn't staring. Hau kept rambling about malasadas and I half listened to him. I kept taking in the scenes and sights of Alola. Hau moved ahead with Lillie and I stayed towards the back, absorbing the sights and smells of malasada. I closed my eyes for a heartbeat to smell the salty ocean and Gladion came up behind me.
     "Beautiful isn't it?" He said softly and gently held my hand. I nodded and continued to gaze at the rolling waves. Gladion and I both turned towards each other and we're very close. As if in a trance, he gently held my cheek and I blushed. He leaned forward closing his eyes and I leaned forward as well.
     "Noni! Gladion! Where are you guys?!" Hau called and snapped us out of our trance. Gladion let go of my hand and stepped away blushing profusely. I too blushed and turned to see Hau and Lillie waving at us. "Come on you too! I'm hungry for some malasada and you've got to see the city!" Hau said and I motioned for Gladion to come with me and we met them at the top of the hill. Hau showed me and Gladion around and out of the corner of my eye, I saw Gladion flashing glances at me filled with a feeling that I knew too well. Gladion loved me and I loved him back. I knew feelings only led to weakness so I tried my hardest to ignore the way that when he got close my heart fluttered in my chest and I felt like staring into his light green eyes forever. I gritted my teeth and tried to enjoy the tour with Hau crunching on malasada. Lillie and I headed into a clothing store. Lille and I looked around and she bought a nice hat for her and a new pair of shoes. I bought a small hair clip and we went to the hair salon. I got my hair trimmed and straightened to keep it out of the way more. Lillie got a nice new ponytail with a braid on the front and we met the boys at the pokemon center. Hau had a bag of malasada and we all ate at the cafe and I bought some potions for everyone. It took my sheet willpower to not hold Gladion's hand at times but as we came out of the pokemon center, dusk was rapidly approaching. Hau shot a worried look at me and I winked at him. To everyone's surprise I led them to a secluded area on the beach and handed Hau a tent for him and Lillie to share and I set up one for me and Gladion.
     "Always be prepared!" I winked and had Gladion help me set up the tent. We had a campfire and roasted marshmallows and I said goodnight to  Hau and Lillie and Gladion followed me into my tent. It was wide enough for two sleeping bags and two Snorlax to fit in it so we each took a side and set it up.
     "Goodnight Gladion." I said and snuggled into bed with my Glaceon. I felt a soft kiss on my head.
     "Sweet dreams Noni." Gladion murmured and I heard his soft snores a moment later. My dreams definitely will be sweet tonight, I thought as I drifted off to sleep under the light of the moon.
