An Alolan Love Story Book 1 (Starring my OC, Noni)

Chapter 5

The boy, Gladion stared at Kukui and didn't say a word.
    "Yes. It's me. I got curious because I saw those villains and I saw her beat them up so then when she saw me I ran." Gladion said and looked at me with a cold gaze. But through his gaze I saw something else in their. Was it awe? I shrugged and stopped staring at him. He was pretty attractive I gotta admit but he definitely hated me and I definitely didn't like him back. Kukui took Gladion by the shoulder and led him back to the direction of the lab and I returned Garchomp.
     "What's up with french fry hair? He looked like he could kill you!" Hau said as we followed them down the hill.
     "Don't let him hear you call him that!" I warned but I was snickering. "Lillie you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost!"
     "I- I'm okay. Just Gladion reminded me of someone I know. Wait-" Lillie paused walking and her breathing became ragged and her cheeks became flushed.
     "Lillie? Talk to me what's wrong?" I put an arm around her shoulder and her eyes looked glazed over.
     "Gladion is my brother." She said and then collapsed from exhaustion. I picked her up and carried her back to the house where Kukui and Gladion were. Kukui stared at Lillie's limp form on my back and took her from me and led her to the sofa. He gently set her down and gave her some water and a blanket. She didn't stir and we all gathered outside whilst Glaceon guarded her.
     "What happened to her?" Kukui asked.
     "She was walking normally and then said something about that Gladion was her lost brother." I said and Hau nodded his agreement. Kukui shook his head worriedly and Gladion, who had been eavsdropping, came over and stood close to my shoulder.
     "I don't even know her! Whatever you're saying must be a lie!" Gladion said and I turned to face him. He was a little closer than what I was used to but I glared at him.
     "I'm not lying, Gladion. You look similar and you both have the same features." He looked away and I saw knowing in his eyes. "I'm right aren't I?" He looked defeated for a moment but then closed his fists tightly and jabbed a finger towards my face.
     "We're not related so shut up!" He snarled and I glared right back at him.
     "Put that finger any closer to my face and I'll bite it right off." I snarled to reveal my thorn sharp teeth. He looked frightened for a moment and pulled his finger away from my face and stormed inside.
     "Jeez french fry hair was mean!" Hau said with an attempt to lighten the mood. I laughed and we both headed inside as it was dark out. Gladion was sitting in a corner with a sleeping bag away from me and avoided my gaze. Triumph bursted in me and I turned to Kukui.
     "You're allowed to crash here for tonight but then tomorrow we're going to start your adventure!" Kukui handed me a sleeping bag and I climbed a ladder to Lillie's room to sleep for the night.
     "Night Hau! Night Professor!" I said.
     "Night Noni!" Hau said and Kukui responded with a snore. I chuckled and settled down.
     "Night Gladion." I said to him and no response. I sighed but then heard a faint "Goodnight Noni." from his direction. Something that had laid dormant inside of me for years bubbled up and then faded away before I could pinpoint it. I shrugged it off and then the sound of Hau's even breathing next to me lured me to sleep.
