how it started

Rooney:

Living was a difficult thing, and once you found your path in life, you could do anything you want. That was how rooney viewed life - a complex combination out of destiny and many, some worse and some better, coincidences you don't have any control or whatsoever over....until you won the first fight and the terrible trail period life set you in was over and you could do what you want and live a full, enjoyable living.
However, when she thought she'd be out of this time, all the walls she carefully built up around her broke down and her whole life collapsed over her.

Rooney was sent a new script for a movie, she didn't read it yet, she just needed some time alone at least for a few hours.
She just finished shooting the girl with the dragon tattoo a few weeks ago, and was kind of waisted from that experience, that she had no time in this very moment to care about something else then herself.
It might sound selfish, but she just needed the time right now to relax and load all her reserves she used on shooting.

A few weeks passed, she lost the sense of time, spending most of her days alone in her cozy apartment, reading, sketching, really just doing what came in her head at the moment.
She sat on her sofa, scrolling through the internet, just looking for some news so she had something to dive in and probably waste some hours for research, when suddenly she remembered the script she's been sent a few weeks ago.
'Carol' or what it was called, she felt bad for not even knowing the proper title or at least the director.
So rooney jumped up from her comfortable spot and quickly grabbed her laptop. She waited for it to turn on, but it was after all very old.

"Come on.... yass finally."

She tipped in her password and went through her emails, desperately seeking for the one she really been inpatient to read now.

Where she finally found it she clicked on the file that was attached to it.
'Carol', wow at least she guessed the title right, that was something.

"Director: Todd Haynes.... OMG NO FUCKING WAY"

She cursed herself for not looking at it earlier, but now it couldn't get any worse, she let Todd Haynes wait because she was wasted?!

she continued reading:

" Actors attached to it: Kyle Chandler, Jake Lacy, Cate Blanchett, Carrie Brownst- WAIT A DAMN MINUTE DID I JUST READ CATE BLANCHETT?!"

she of course thought her mind was playing tricks on her, thinking it was funny to give her a heart attack, so she read again.

" OMG ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! THERE'S REALLY WRITTEN CATE BLANCHETT "

Rooney couldn't believe it, she just played a few roles in movies, why would THE cate blanchett want to do a movie with her? She now was indeed very interested in the script, or at least what she's been sent, so she exited continued to read, adrenaline rushing through her veins, her heart seemed to burst out of her chest just leaving her there alone with the script.
