"I'm divorcing Andrew."

I was shocked at what she said, it came so sudden, and going by her face, she herself was shocked at her words. i wondered if she just said it to calm me down or if she really meant it.

'' wait are you for real right now? are you sure you want that? i don't want to ruin your family Cate i never meant to go between you and Andrew please i didn't mean for that to happen-''

she chuckled ''i really mean it. i' m going to divorce him, i wanted to tell you since last week but somehow something always came in the way, carol meetings, press, and i didn't want it to come of like i don't care about you, because you are the thing i care about most, you are my life Rooney leaving you would break my heart and i'm afraid to loose you. ''

i looked at her in disbelief. and then i just grabbed her face and kissed her. i kissed her dearly, lovingly, i kissed her like it was our last kiss, and ever since then i continued to do so.

Cate was the first to speak up again '' would you like to go on a date with me? ''

'' of course i would.''

''great!! get ready then i' m taking you out for coffee at 3pm love. ''

''alright.''

i wanted to look extra pretty for her, i kept the outfit casual and did more for makeup and hair. i wore a blue loose jeans, converse, my favourite bands tee (it was a little tighter and snug my body perfectly) and a flannel around my hips. i put on many rings, some i even got from Cate, my usual necklaces and i was good to go.

i went to the bathroom, Cate just came out of the shower with only wearing black lingerie.

i laughed ''is that how you're gonna go?''

''no of course not'' she chuckled. ''this is for later darling.''

we were sitting in the café now, it had wooden walls and looked really homey, the lights were more in a industrial look and i loved it.
in the end Cate wore a rosé coloured suit with a ton of pretty necklaces, which distracted me a few times. and now again i was staring down at her boobs with all the pretty necklaces.

''am i distracting you baby?''

''uhuh indeed, you look mesmerising right now, especially with the sun covering your light skin that almost glistens.''

''oh my, you really are in love with me, aren't you?''

''absolutely i am.''

i was so happy, i loved her so much.

the waiter came up to us and took our orders. Cate ordered for both of us, she always knew what i was gonna take, it became a game by now. plus i didn't like to order myself because of my social anxiety.

after a while our meals and drinks came.

''I' m starving. bon appétit. '' she said it with such a grin and i just broke out laughing at her reference.

''you. did. not.''

'' oh i did. ''

'' god you're so funny. ''

we talked about a lot of things during dinner, she wanted to move in with me and i approved. it was just like a dream. We went over to her interrogating me for no reason.

'' do you want kids? ''

'' yes i do. ''

'' do you want a house? ''

'' some day, for sure. ''

'' what about animals?''

'' yes probably, some dogs maybe. ''

'' when would you say is the right age for children? ''

'' i don't know maybe 35 or something like that- Cate what is this about? ''

'' i guess i was just wondering... would you like to marry me? ''

'' what? ''

'' you know what, just forget it.. ''

'' no Cate of course i would like to marry you, i would marry you here and now without hesitation. ''

'' yes? yes you would? ''

'' yes i would. ''

'' well... we got that clear now i guess. god i was scared it would be too early for you and you'd leave me. ''

'' i wouldn't ever do that and you should know it by now. ''
